I was just curious to see if we might pick up some talent for teams desperate to get more cap room to chase a few free agents.

Well, we have another asset, will another team dangle a superstar for Morey to pounce on.....

He has done a great job putting us in position.

    Go go Morey !

Corey Maggette was dumped too, I wonder if there are other teams that will dump players.

Could we get Biedrens from Golden State?

So much talent swapping this year, hopefully Morey can be Predatory as he was with Hill last year.

Did we already forget about taking Jared Jeffries contract AND Kevin Martins? We're going to be over the luxury tax this year as is.. I think we're done being "predatory". That was so last season. ;)

Got to risk big though to win it all, and a year like this may never come around again.

So many talented free agents, so much turnover, so many teams fighting for so few players all jettising talent to gain cap room.

The CBA is expiring, it is like is it Dec 21, 2012 in the NBA.

I would like to acquire Biedrens at Center.......and if Granger is available then Chase & Hill can hit the bricks for him.

Grangers the one player Indiana is likely NOT to part with.

Didn't someone report that they were looking to move him for New Jersey's pick and Devin Harris and Yi?

There is so much turnover this year and the Rockets are positioned so nicely that you have to believe SOMETHING will get done for a star player.

Maybe CP3 (whom I hate but would welcome) could be on their radar?

I honestly think that they are working the New Orleans Hornets over to aquire Chris Paul in a straight up trade. The Rockets management runs a tight ship and hardly anything has ever leaked out when they are pursuing anyone whether they are available or not and this is a situation that requires them to be sensative about not sending the wrong signals to Aaron Brooks that he is being shopped.

If New Orleans is in a situation where they dont find an owner and need to shed salary (which its looking like they are doing) what other team gives them the a chance to rebuild through the draft with at least 2 first round picks, aaron brooks, Jordan Hill or Patterson, and an expiring contract from Jefferies or Battier.

This would be an ideal situation for both teams and from a GM standpoint... i would say its highly Predatory.

IMO We won't go after Biedrins because it doesn't seem like DM wants to commit much money past the lockout period. I could see us going after Jeff Green...

    Aaron Brooks
    Kevin Martin
    Jeff Green
    Luis Scola
    Yao Ming

Is a championship roster. Green would fill a lot of holes and weaknesses of ours...

biedrins? my god that guy could be in the running for the worst big guy in the league along with brian cook if cook was still under contract.

    NO FREAKIN WAY TO BIEDRINS

absolute the stiffest of stiffs I have seen and a ridiculously large and long contract to boot.

GS Fans would do anything to get rid of that guy and you actually want him??

have you not seen any of their games this past season guy gets two fouls with about 8 minutes to go, his "defensive prowess" is an absolute myth he gets stats because of the GS system but he is a horrid defender, terrible at offense and has not gotten any better or even shown at least a bit of improvement. The guy shoots a high fg% because of all the layups/dunks he gets outside of 3 feet? HORRIBLE he shot 16% from the FT line last season and shoots 51% for his career at the strip. asking Biedrins to be your backup center at 9 mill a year? and you want Yao to have limited minutes? Biedrins will come in get 2 fouls before Yao has had a chance to dry off the sweat from his body.

There was a reason why even when he was healthy last season (and it wasnt too often either) that Nellie opted to play Chris Hunter more than Biedrins. Nellie basically gave up on him citing lack of proper work ethic and drive to get better.

If getting Biedrins is your idea of being predatory then count me out I would much rather just start Chuck Hayes again at center and have Kyle Lowry back up him then ever seen Biedrins suit up in a Rockets jersey.

Funny how some people want to give Morey lectures on the art of predaction when all they've ever predated is the buffet table (not that there's anything wrong with buffets).

Almost as good as the "art of the deal" lecture.
