Many thoughts and prayers. I just lost a family member 3 weeks ago due to a massive stroke and a heart attack a day later. Keep your head up and stay strong for your family.
+ I miss my grandparents! If you still have yours...enjoy them. Make sure to tell them how much they mean to you!!!
You account reminds me of my own experience years ago dealing with the death of my grandmother. She was a couple of weeks past her 89th birthday when she suffered a stoke, which eventually led to heart failure. Kids nowadays are less closer to their grandparents than previous generations were. I was partially raised by my grandma who had lived in my home for 15 years since I was 8. So I was very close to her. The icecream part is especially touching. I still sadly remember the moment when she was telling me not to come home too later after evening class while I was having my dinner, the stroke struck her. It took a long time for me to get over her death. I really feel for you, buddy. My prayers to you and your family.
Thanks to all of you. I don't know if anyone would be interested, but I have her obit on my PC so I thought I would share, to give people an idea of who she was. I hope that I go out after eating my favorite ice cream brought to me by my grandson. That "little" errand made her last moments last her through out eternity. My prayers to you and yours.
