Thank's everyone for your kind words. You can't imagine how comforting your well wishes are. I'm going to go back home to visit her soon. Peace.
Prayers out to you and your family bro. May God be with you all and comfort you and your family in your time of need.
I feel compelled to contribute to the tipjar (I've always been meaning to but it's like...."yeah, I'll do it later"). However, when I try to pay via paypal it says its going to send a message to my phone to verify the transaction. The number attached to paypal is my old number from Australia, and I can't seem to add a new UK number. Does anyone know if it's possible to change countries in Paypal? Some Googling suggests this it not possible.
So sorry to hear this. Prayers to your mom and your entire family. Been down this road as well with my mom and by the grace of God she beat it. Hang in there as I can only imagine how tough this is for you being so far away from her. Take it one day at a time, because if you allow your mind to run down the road to far it get can pretty overwhelming. God bless!
Prayers for you and your mum in your hour of need. I'm glad and thankful you will have the opportunity to visit her and give her your love and support.
Praying for her healing as well as peace and reassurance for the entire family. Whereabout in the UK do u live by the way? Have some close friends that live there.
I went from shock to losing my dad within 2 days, so I know how it feels. Write to her or call her everyday, even if it is a simple Hello. My thoughts are with you & your mum.
Again, thanks for all your replies and prayers. It means a lot to me. Bag0b0y, I am working in Cambridge.
So sorry to hear this. Stay strong, we're all hoping for the best for you and your family. Lost my brother to cancer last year. Every day is precious. Every day.
My thoughts are with you. I lost my father 2 weeks ago, unexpectedly. It is enormously painful and altering in ways I am still processing. My biggest regret is not having spent more time with him. Spend time with your mom. I hope she comes through and lives long, but take this opportunity to have some happy moments, and really connect with her in ways you may have not had a chance to. I truly wish you and your mom the best.
My thoughts are with you. Too many of us have lost close family members because of this disease. Stay strong, and all the best to your mom.
A few of you have mentioned that you have recently lost loved ones. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I hope we can all stay strong during these times. I am simply amazed at the responses I've gotten so far from all of you. Know that your words aren't lost on me. I'm reading your responses and they genuinely make me feel better.
Prayers for your family. Stay strong. Stay positive. Doctors are notoriously bad at predicting how long someone has to live based on a diagnosis. The important thing is to make her enjoy the rest of her time, however long that may be.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...acle-survivors-club-proved-doctors-wrong.html I know it's not the same thing perhaps, but you never know. I'm lucky I've never had the misfortune to lose somebody extremely close to me (all my family lives in Mexico which for awhile I went once a year, but haven't since it's gotten worse and worse with drug lord shootouts/kiddnappings) and I just hope and pray the day it inevitably comes it's years away when I'm much older and mature. Thoughts and prayers man, I'm only 18 and I'd absolutely lose it if that happened to either of my parents.
