Boy is she going to milk the heck out of this! "Daddy I want to go to Europe! I think it would be good for my heart!" great news giddy!
She already has been up to that kind of trick. She had three girlfriends sleep over the night before. They had a chocolate frenzy up to the stroke of Midnight, as Amy put it, "Just in case I die tomorrow...." Who knows what is next? I'm going to print these pages in the next day or so, so if anyone wants to add any encouraging or congratulatory message for Amy, please do it by weekend's end. Thanks so much for your interest, care and concern! Amy will get a kick out of this....
Glad to hear the good news. I am only 21 and my father had his second open heart surgery a month ago and I feel what you all are going through. I can't imagine being the one to go through these types of operations. She must be a very strong person. It took all my strength to go in and visit my Dad after his surgery. Families don't get prepared enough about how their loved ones will look when they come out of surgery.
So happy for you that she made it through I'll say some more prayers for a speedy and healthy recovery.
Amy, push for the trip to Europe! We can have a whole 'nother thread about suggestions for the best, coolest and most wild and crazy places to go and things to do when you get there. Uh, just remember that your Dad may need extra love and kisses, along with a second mortgage on the house, to pull it off. Maybe you can offer to take care of him and Mom in their old age. (like in 2 or 3 years for Dad. ) Milk that ticker for all she's worth! (giddy, don't shoot me! )
Amy, We are all very glad you came through this like the strong lady you are. If you can get through this you can get through anything. I wish you all the health and happiness in the world. And I am with Deckard, dad is so thrilled you are o.k you can probably get away with most things short of murder...take advantage of it...but be safe!
