Tell me about it. Not sure if anyone remembers, but several months ago there was an accident in Pearland where a truck drove into a 30 foot hole on a construction site and a young man died when he slipped and fell into the hole while trying to help them. Well, that was my girlfriend's family friend, and according to her, the posts on that story were just about the same quality. It's despicable.
I'm getting updates through his sister. She messaged me around midnight that his cranial pressure has lowered. Also, a fam friend that is a doctor called on him and he responded. Both are good signs for now. He's still heavily sedated of course. I'll be heading to Ben Taub here in a few..
I keep checking this thread, hoping for some positive updates. I could also not believe some of the classless comments on that website.
I believe it. The Internet is full of jerks like that who are holier than thou, never make mistakes, and criticize the unthinkable. That is why it is not always a good idea for news-oriented sites to open up commenting on certain news stories. It always seems to devolve into a bunch of bs by idiots who think their sh_t doesn't stink. And, it just pisses off the rest of the people who actually care.
Hope he pulls through. Best of luck to him. I cant imagine what his family is going though especially the holiday season. Get well Aggiedentist.
His friend who disclosed his religion on that website is an idoit. That just incites the bigots. His religion is irrelevant!
Oh ****. My brother told me about this yesterday. "Some guy i know got hit by the light rail. Pretty cool guy too"
Hope he pulls through. + I cross that intersection every day going to work, and that whole street right there is very hectic. I've had several close calls... the lights are so close together and people tend to slam on their brakes trying to turn at the last minute, etc. Very distracting street so who knows if he even noticed the red light until it was too late.
First of all, hoping for the best for our CF member. I don't drive very often in the area of town where the train is located. But when I have, I'll admit I've been a little confused about about what lanes to get in, and where the train runs. I'm always very very cautious and a little nervous when I'm in that area. If I traveled that area more often, I'm sure it would be very easy to navigate, but I'm never surprised when I hear of an accident. I sure hope things turn out OK.
Notice there is a user on there under the name "fattyfatb" who made a dumb ass comment on the article. Coincidence?
It wasn't me. Had to be someone from this site, though. If someone is going to try to impersonate me, do a little better job at it.
Believe it or not, my initial reaction was that not even you would make that comment, given that the guy is a CF member.
A friend of mine who is also close with AggieDentist happens to be in LA for the game tonight. He made a "Get Well" sign, so keep an eye out for it.
