thanks! each day seems a bit better. they say it could take up to 10 days, i guess benadryl stock will go up because of me.
even though you hate on tmac about everything (injury being soft) cough but seriously Get well soon Tinman !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! best wishes.
yes, actually my symptoms are decreasing and I'm actually slowly tapering off the steroids. i gauge my progress by how frequent and how long it takes for my symptoms to arise. it's slowly leaving my body and my appetite is actually coming back. when i first got this reaction, i couldn't eat much, now i'm eating pretty normally.
update. i'm still taking meds, however the meds aren't making me sleepy any more. i was ordered to take antihistamines for the rest of the week. i'm breathing really well. i'm back posting on here since i'm not always sleepy.
i'm at home, they told me to be my own judge if i get a severe reaction, since it's been 6 days, the reactions are much slower and i have enough meds to sedate a basketball team... just kidding, i have crap load of meds though. i've just returned to work since it's probably safer with lots of people around in case something bad happens. i might attempt to be social tomorrow too.
Ok this has been going for along time now. my doctor has lowered the dosage of meds and I took a blood test tuesday, waiting for results. attempting to do normal things like work, buy groceries and drive around town.
It almost seems eerie to see the thread title, and to see it getting bumped every now and then... but then I am relieved to hear you're better, sir. Mad max props to your doctor for keeping you well.
I didn't know allergic reactions could last this long; I simply thought they were acute and may only have an effect for a day or two with proper treatment. Of course, I'm allergic to basically nothing, so this would be me being ignorant of such things. Scary that they can last this long. Good luck.
I don't really like you, but glad things are getting better. JK I'm just giving you a hard time. You're a vet. here...good to know you are on your way back.
