And what do I have to buy for the mega million's drawing? Same powerball tickets? Sorry just a newb fascinated by the $$$$$
Houston Dynamo are probably about 140 million. Which would be pocket change. They likely make you about 10 million profit each year so they will pay for themselves. But I gotta believe MLS is a wasted investment given there seems to be no traction or credibility for MLS. Even with all the potential, and by that I mean the number one sport in the world, it just doesn't look likes it's going to happen for American soccer. Yet, given they are making a profit, it might be relatively low risk to buy in LA or NY or DC with lots of potential. Even LA is only worth about 200 million. It could blow up someday into something big and given they can't really saturate quantity of play due to player fatigue, there's a chance to hold value like NFL.
Everyone here thinking they will be able to buy a pro sports team just because they have $800 mil? These folks are doing more than selling teams, they are selling memberships into their boys clubs. They won't respect lotto money. It will be hard to get any respect from any other rich folk as soon as they hear how you got money. It ain't as simple as I have the money now sell it to me. They would make you pay double the price just for fun.
I know your guys all hate him, but Mark Cuban has some good advice for the eventual winner(s)... http://thescoopblog.dallasnews.com/...e-1-4-billion-or-more-powerball-jackpot.html/
I think with MLS owners, it would be cool. But the other pro sports in North America, no. If I could, I'd buy a football league 1 team and try to bring them up to the championship, and maybe even the top league. Then sell the team after the tv money comes in.
Definitely. Should be a welcome change from the SE side of Houston. A whole new world you've never thought of
