In responce to the ESPN power rankings I have found that they usualy suck. If you would like to see rankings posted by people who know what they are talking about, visit hoopstv.com. Plus these guys love the franchise, and give him much love. The rankings are under the title "hit list". As of yet the list has not been updated this week, but keep checking in it will be.

Philly, Philly, Philly. Everyone wants to talk about the Sixers when they write us on the Power Rankings. Anyway, we did get some other e-mails and they, along with the 76ers' contingent, are represented here.
A sizzling Darrell Armstrong and the Magic have turned their season around.

Check back with us on Tuesday, Feb. 20, to see if the Sixers can keep the top spot next time. By the way, click here if you want to send more comments.

    Iverson for President
    76ers team page
Hindsight is 20-20, I'll grant you guys. But after back to back games where Philly handled themselves with championship aplomb, it looks like the only team from the East in your top seven is going to be staying there. People need to stop holding their breath on when the Sixers are going to fall back to earth. Larry Brown's coaching tactic in the All-Star game proved that a small lineup can take out the West giants. Sixers continue to dominate despite a decimated lineup. What you should be worrying about is how much of a juggernaut this team is going to be once it regains even a semblance of health. Allen Iverson is the MVP and the Sixers are legit.

The Sixers have heart baby!!! Don't be so fast to move them out of the top seven!! Iverson scores 6 of his 49 in about 30 seconds towards the end to beat the Bucks, with a little help from his friends, and then he scores 40 as they kicked the stuffing out of the Lakers and Shaq without Theo Ratliff and Matt Geiger. And by the way, they have a winning record against Western Conference teams. With Coach Brown, this team can take any team in this league in a seven-game series.

    Heat will prove us wrong
    Heat team page
I agree with you guys for the most part, but I do feel you have overlooked the Heat. They have been playing extremely well and to think just because of past playoff failures the same will happen this year is wrong. Don't forget this is a completely new team, with new guys who don't know and probably don't care about what happened last year. Also, you made a comment about the Suns and Heat that they can't do any damage. You are incorrect, hopefully you will see and realize how good this Heat team is playing.

    Not good, we're great!
    Mavs team page
OK, I'm furious. How in the world can you move the Dallas Mavericks into the "good ... but" section of your Power Rankings? They are going to make the playoffs, no doubt. They have not had any big winning streaks lately due to the absence of Steve Nash, who will be back soon, and also the absence of their fearless leader Don Nelson. Once these two main ingredients are back, then everyone else better watch out. Oh, and by the way, Shawn Bradley and Christian Laettner are doing just fine. I'm not saying they could hold Shaq and help beat the Lakers, but they are doing fine.

    Poised for a run, finally
    Jazz team page
Hello, McFly! How do you rank the Lakers, Spurs and the Kings ahead of the Jazz, who went 4-0 last week AND have a better overall record?! It's all about being held down by the man! Wake up, because Karl Malone and the boys are poised for a run at the title and I don't want you napping. Then there will be no excuse not to give them respect!

    One spot makes a difference
    Celtics team page
Seriously, how can you put the Pacers in front of the Celtics? Granted it is only one spot, but c'mon, it still makes a difference. The Celtics are clearly a better team right now and therefore should be ahead of them. The numbers in the wins and losses column also indicate the same. I respect you guys, but man, sometimes I wonder.

    Leave that Stevie guy alone
    Rockets team page
OK, please tell me what must Houston do to move past the 18th spot? Let's see, they beat NY, Philly and the Pistons, they have a 12-3 record against the East. Are you still upset with Steve Francis about that Vancouver thing?

    Wolves have some bite
    Wolves team page
I can't believe you guys! The T-Wolves at seven! How can you rank the Blazers, Kings, Lakers and the Jazz ahead of them when they were all beat by the Wolves during their NBA season-leading 11-game win streak? Also, I won't name the team here to protect the crappy, but how does the previously ranked No. 2 team drop to only fourth after going 2-3 during the week and getting beat 41-10 after the first quarter to the Wolves? I would like to know how many more great teams will the T-Wolves need to get the respect they deserve?

A trip to the logic store
    Hornets team page
    Pacers team page
Let's take our weekly trip to the Logic Store. Hornets go 1-4, move up a spot. Pacers go 1-4, move up a spot. That reminds me, I need to go get in line for Bulls tickets, because they're due for a big jump any day now.

    Magic, championship-bound?
    Magic team page
I think the Magic should be the team that the rest of the league needs to be watching. With Darrell Armstrong and Mike Miller starting to step up this team will be hard to compete with. Tracy McGrady is definitely showing that he can lead a team to a championship.

    Nobody's hotter than us
    Bucks team page
The Bucks should be ranked ahead of the Knicks and Heat. The Bucks have proven that they are one of the beasts of the East. The Knicks and Heat haven't proved much except that they'll be in the playoffs. Aren't the rankings supposed to have the hotter teams ranked higher? Who's been hotter than the Bucks???
