funny how we've defeated the #1 team in the west twice in the past month and we still haven't played anyone.

This streak means the team is playing great even without Yao. Now if Yao was here and playing, do you think they will still have 22? Of course!!!!

T-Mac would certainly NOT have to play 48min against non-playoff type teams. Yao in the low post would be great when the long bombs weren't falling.

Yao is gone for the post-season so it's very possible that the Rockets may not take it all. It's a tough road to walk in the West and the top East team isn't chop liver either.

Will they win a 1st round? Who knows but if they somehow keep a very high seat and get home court, they may, especially if they face a week Western confernce team in the 1st round.

You know right after Laker game I had pretty short conversation with my friend who is big Lakers (maybe more Kobe Bryant) fan.

Of course he was frustrated cause earlier he had been sure that the Lakers would have won this game. You know he of course said, that the Lakers were missing Bynum, Gasol, etc. He said that if the Lakers has had those two guys they would have won this game.

Of course I said 'Wait, we didn't have Yao Ming'. You know what he said?

'But the Rockets don't need Yao, they are A LOT better team without Yao'

    I kinda tought "WTF?"

What's funny about the guy who replied to my Rockets comment about the game is that I don't even know if he's even a Lakers fan. That's how everyone is in the NBA thread on those forums. I mean, obviously we all have our own allegiances, but just about everyone in that thread downplays the Rockets to a ridiculous degree. Surprisingly, the only guy who stuck up for the Rockets is a Mavs fan.

We CAN enjoy this streak more because it is achieved even without Yao.

Who cares being a contender. Let's just celebrate.

10 years from now, it will take somebody good 5 minute to recall who wins the championship this year, but instantly will tell you all about this winning streak.

You knwo what, i really DON'T care what people say. It can be my friend, it canbe Charles Barkley, it can be anybody. I just don't pay any attention to it at all.

Just do you job, win you games, continue the streak and people will have their respect. The most important thing is just to win games. Everybody can say what everybody wants to say. We won't change it.

22 in a row is great. #1st place in the West is great.

Gasol, Bynum and Ariza, thats three starters. Bynum alone is more important to the lakers then Yao is to the Rockets.

That's one of the dumbest things I've heard on this forum. Do U not realize that Yao is the best center in the league and teams have to come up with defensive schemes to defend him. I seriously doubt teams stay up wondering how they're gonna defend Bynum. He's a good player but not even in the league of Yao. In addition,Yao was a go to guy and our only true post presence.
And I seriously doubt Ariza would be starting right now. Who would he replace?
That shows the depth of the Rockets. They first lose Yao then Landry and they keep winning.
