Does anyone else think that when players sign for certain team and they look at possibility playing in the east and going to team that could contend there and sees Lebron as an obstacle they rather chose playing in west, which might be much more competitive but they won't need to fight Lebron and his crew.
ya even though the east is easy to get playoffs in the east, but you're not going to the finals as long as lebrons there.
If Im a PF/C , I'm definitely going to sign in the East... Might not win a title because of Lebron , but damn sure would be in the playoffs every year... Cant say the same in the West ... Even if you go to the mediocre team in the East for that Almighty Dollar, it's still better than going to a Sacramento or Phoenix right now IMO.. You can make an immediate impact in the East standings for your team as a PF or C...
48 wins and no playoffs versus 43 wins and playoffs Means at least 4 more checks every year Rocket River
Well not a lot of good looking options out East, and that has more to do with management being inferior overall out there. Miami wouldn't be a bad place to go if they had money to throw around. A properly managed Nets or Knicks team would be great, even Boston wouldn't be so bad but all those teams are on the down-swing. There are no up and coming teams in the East to the tune of a Golden State, Houston, or New Orleans. And there isn't anyone out there with a solid management team like San Antonio. Bulls have no cap space, Hawks gave a big contract to Millsap and that leaves the Bucks with Giannis, Jabari, and MCW as potentially the next best young thing, which Monroe saw. LaMarcus would work well in Toronto, and they do have money but for some reason he wasn't interested at all.
If you can't beat Lebron in the East, what makes you think you'd get to the finals and beat him there?
The point is that west is much more stacked, compared to the east, which got only few good teams, so i just feel when you're really that good and can make a difference you'd at least consider this factor to certain degree.
A decent team in the East can creep into the ecf....a decent team in the West can miss the playoffs. I think i would rather get some wins and a chance at lebron every year rather then miss..
Bucks are up-and-coming. And Boston is on the upswing, imo. Even though they got swept by the Cavs, their future is pretty bright.
