    The only thing you can say about Barkley is the dude was incredibly smart to be able to deal with all the length that he dealt with night in and night out and he would still put himself in the position to dominate and make his defenders look bad. The guy was absolutely the best at getting the position that he wanted on the basketball court after sizing up the defense and figuring out where he would best succeed. Just goes to show that playing in the post isn't all about height. It's about LEVERAGE.

    hahha exactly what i was thinking. he basically moved people out of the way for his rebounds when he was with us

    Fearlessness doesn't hurt, either. Barkley remains one of my favorite Rockets.

    The thing I don't understand is how difficult for players like him to acquire a jump shot with ranges up to 15-18 foot.

    They are professionals, shouldn't they spend tons of time on practicing jump-shot?

    He never had to be a scoring threat because TJ Ford, their other guard (forgot his name) Royal Ivey, and even Buckman were all shooting.

    And shooting is arguably harder to learn than rebounding.
