Kenny Thomas about to be 29 yrs old .505 FG % overall .340 2pt jumpshots (he doesn't shoot 3's anymore...good) .656 inside shots (.602 without dunks and tips) 28.0 Rebound Rating 2.2 Block Rating $6.72 million this year, 5 years total contract assessment: I think K9 has really improved his already solid game since he was shipped from the Rockets in that Posey trade a few years back. He always had nice footwork that helped his ability to score inside against bigger defenders. His quickness helps his driving ability too. But the main issue here is that even though %50 of the shots he takes are jumpers (Sac is a huge screen and pop team), K9 only hits 34% of his jumpers. That's okay, but no where near JHo, or Joe Smith, or marksmen Brian Cook, or even Shareef and Brad Miller from his own team. K9 will rebound, hustle, and give you a legit scoring option inside, but his jumper is average at best.
Whoever we want to get for our starting PF, it is important that he can play backup C. I am not putting much faith in Mutombo anymore. With Swift gone, no one else among the PFs we have now is big enough to play C.
