What bank is there to break? Trading the expiring contracts of Baker and Mooch? For? What other trade assets are there?

Full MLE for someone good enough that a team with lots under the cap couldn't double Rox offer? Rox would have to get lucky with remaining TE +#1 for a Wilcox, or something similar.

That's exactly why they won't break the piggy bank. Thanks for explaining it for me.

Turiaf....Ronny Turiaf of Gonzaga?...I don't follow college hoops...what's the scoop on him...

Wilcox, interesting option. Athletic freak... in the same mold as Stromile but could be had for a lot less. He can block shots, finish at the hoop, I haven't watched him enough to say anything about his D or rebounding. Anybody wanna look that up? :D

I dont see why we can't get a quality PF next year in the draft or the FA? Best Journeyman, damn... You're being too kind. I'd take Howard over Van Horn, that's for sure.:D

I'm satisfied with our PF, until this off season.

I don't understand the Howard-love at all. He's barely adequate. His shooting is marginally helpful and his rebounding is terrible. Taylor as a backup last year was a better PF than Howard this year. Plus Cato too, we were easily stronger there a year ago. Now that it looks like our backcourt situation is fixed, I hope they address PF in free agency and the draft.

I know Barkley was past his prime in his Rockets days, but come on...

    96-97: 19.2 ppg 13.5 rpg
    97-98: 15.2 ppg 11.7 rpg
    98-99: 16.1 ppg 12.3 rpg

He is injured and his career is likely over.

    Stats of the day:

The Rockets are 13-2 when Juwan Howard grabs more than 7 rebounds.

The Rockets are 7-0 when Juwan Howard grabs double digit rebounds.

Can you imagine what a guy who could consistently shoot and rebound would do for this team? Unfortunately, those guys are rare.

    * this is my wishlist of young PF's I hope we can pick up.

Tyson Chandler - running, jumping rebounding machine. Very raw offensively but long and athletic.

Kwame Brown - reminds of JOneil and needed more time to develop than most.

SSwift - may be too expensive for us but would be a great pick up.

UDonis Haslem - playing great next to Shaq.. decent mid range game and good rebounder.

Nene - not as great a rebounder as I hoped but would be solid next to Yao.

actually, since cato backed up Yao last year, the proper comparison is Yao, Cato, MoT vs. Yao, J-Ho, Deke.

Add Chris Wilcox to the list. Also, Add 4-5 quality PF's coming out in the draft... at least. Badiane... where are you!!
