One of the first power dancers was a sister of one of my friends. We used to talk at UH all the time (that's where she went to school). So yeah, the odds are pretty good. ;)

Man, the stories she used to tell me about some of the guys on the team (married) hitting on her. :)

Well, at least the male literacy rate will go up in her school of choice.

    LOL, AWESOME!:D :D

Dude was just telling us a damn good story of a coincidental meeting where he happened to meet a pretty girl and get her autograph. This is a Rockets board, she is Rockets related. Just let it slide man, you don't need to be an ass ALL the time now do you, seclusion (jk, man, but lighten up)

I got ripped on for my Mark Jackson story so whenever someone gets ripped on for an encounter, I'm going to have to rant, sorry...

And congrats Swoly-D...I wish I had eye candy in my eye classes:(

Funny mentioning that the players would hit on the dancers..

My daughter's aunt was one of the Power Dancer captains for several years.. she quit year before last to get married, have kids, etc etc.

But while she was in the organization, several times she would get tickets for my step-daughter and myself to attend games, and she even too us 'backstage' after the games, and had all the Power Dancers in the dressing room sign a poster for her.

So, as we are standing in the hallway down there, waiting for her to come back out (NO we did not go into the actual dressing rooms!!), I swear there had to be at least 20 rapper-looking guys hanging out down there outside the dressing room too.. I always thought it looked like a pack of dogs in the neighborhood when some female is in heat..

Anyway, the only player I remember seeing down there then was Sam Mack.. don't know if any others were sniffing around, but I seem to recall someone saying, 'Hey, isn't that Puff Daddy over there?' ...since I wouldn't know 'puff daddy' from a hole in the ground, I could not say for sure..

Anyway, it was definitely a bizarre experience for a 'regular joe' like me to get to go back there and see all that. There was no security down there that I noticed, and all these frankly thuggish-looking guys hanging around right outside the dancers' dressing room.. honestly looked a little dangerous to me..

I suspect that now, after 9/11, security is a lot tighter and stuff like that doesn't go on any more..

All in all, pretty cool though..

Thanks. I will talk to her some more, but for nothing more than school-related stuff, and what she does and how it goes at the games, before, after, that's all. There's nothing in common between us, other than the class, and I will respect that above all. seclusion either on purpose or unconsciously didn't read that I am married and I am not trying to get what I can't get. I don't know where he gets that from, but dude DOES need to lighten up. I would never call him a MORON, though. What gives?

    I already vowed I wouldn't do that. I meant both. I won't do either.

Shouldn't they have a rule about that? (hitting on the dancers)

Like I said above, I probably will only have a few words if not a whole conversation with her. She already mentioned the parking situation here, which is not as good as in other universities. She also mentioned her past college experiences. Sorry to mention you again, xcharged, but you gotta help me out here... :D

alright, i think its cool that he has a power dancer in his class... im pretty sure i would freak out, mainly b/c i am never blessed with having good looking women in my class... ALL MALES, or just really unatrractive girls. any engineering major would greatly appreciate that. the only time i had cute girls in my class was in art history and psychology my freshmen year. everything downhill after that

Dont worry, you wont be around here long enough to have to put up with non-witty morons.

If you are married, then you better at least hook a brother up!
Maybe you could bring a friend to a "study session" who is from a "different class"?

    btw,
call me a noob, but what exactly has macbeth done that would put dating a power dancer to shame? just curious.
