I don't understand why we are going to buy him out. At least wait until the offseason. The only reason I see to buy him out now, is if we have to so that he does not opt-in to his final year. From Morey's presser though, it is pretty obvious that Fisher will not be in a Rockets uniform.
Fisher can't help. I mean, c'mon. He was averaging 5 ppg on 38% shooting as a starter with Kobe, Bynum and Gasol. Those numbers would only horrifically plummet with the Rockets. My choices are to bring up Derrick Caracter and Ben Uzoh from the Vipers. Really intriguing talents, especially Caracter, a Lakers draft pick. Uzoh is also highly regarded. Plus it would behoove Caracter to be around pros like Camby and Scola.
What about super agent like leigh steinburg? Why was he living with his parents at the age of 60 with a law degree in his back pocket? What about the qb club he had in the 80s?
Martin has to get it back together that would free up lee to play some point guard. The market is dry it such a steep drop off.
The trade was really the pick for Hill. They just threw Fisher in to make it official. He wiil be back with the Lakers before the seasons over.
