do you have an actual line-up in mind for the free agency season? or are you just planning on winging it/taking requests?

Once we get Francis, we could trade Tmac for Kobe straight up. Then we'll be sick.

    Bibby, V-Span
    Francis, Bonz
    Kobe, Battier
    Ron Artest, Battier, Hayes
    Yao, Deke, Akeem

    /sigh

Ginobli > Span (It is ridiculous at this point to even compare them)
Parker> Francis (Parker is an incredibly efficient scorer and I don't know WHAt Francis has left)
    Bowen< T-Mac
    Duncan> Battier
    Oberto< Yao

Terrific profile, Clutch. The photoshop job's superb, as usual. As for Francis, I really wanted to get him before the deadline, had Thomas bought him out, to give the Rocks something, anything, behind or in front of Rafer. I still think it would have helped. Whether it would be a good move now is certainly up for debate, but should Francis be able and willing to come here cheap, I don't see how you pass on the guy.

Okay, Luff Daddy, you have finally gone absolutely flying-over-the-cuckoo's-nest crazy.

Are you saying that V-Span is a better player than Francis?!? That's absurd. Ludicrous. Preposterous. Idiotic. Ridiculous. Cockeyed. Harebrained. Insane. And um... moronic!

There's a more-than-likely chance V-Span will *never* be the player Francis is *now*, even assuming the drop-off in Stevie's game over the last couple of years is related to talent and not coaches.

    Man, now I've heard everything.

And yes, you might as well add me to your sig, although "V-Span non-believers" is more accurate. Nobody on this board hates the guy -- some of us just don't get erect when we think of him.

Are you serious? The magic didn't want francis and now the knicks don't even want him. When the knicks don't even want you, you know you're a bum in this league now, cause they'll take anybody.

i assume he'd want the mle but if he gets his buyout money and comes here for the bi-annual exception, wow, that'd be a heck of a steal.

A steal for francis for sure. The MLE is better spent on someone who can contribute like Bonzi.

giving him a penny over that would be a mistake IMO, If the Rockets were to give Francis the full MLE if he was bought out than they better sure up the 4 spot with a trade not just a draft pick.

I'm not sold on Francis. I despised him when he was here. I still think Steve will be the same player if he comes back (and God forbid) just a step or two slower. The only thing I hated when we made the trade for Mac was Cat was gone too.

It seems tempting especially after seeing that pic on the front page. I think if Steve comes back, that pic is a very good representation of what will happen. Steve dribbles till sunrise and Tmac gives him that "wtf is he doing here?" look like in that pic.

Steve: hey guys, did you see how awesome my cross over was?! It's a shame the clock ran out though..
    Yao: don't touch me..
Mac: wtf? what happened to JL3? this guy dribbles the same.

And what does that make us? I cannot believe I'm reading this. Folks here celebrated when SF3 was shipped out of town and now they want him back? Am I in the bizarro universe? What about Spanoulis? Wasn't he supposed to be the next Tony Parker only to be held down by the now departed JVG?
