I think the matter was more about the fact that, as of the trade deadline, Yao was still injured and the team realistically could not afford to send Juwan since that leaves the front court dangerously thin-- and sending Rafer would again reduce PG depth to just 1.

uNder no circumstance would I have Mike James back on our Team. Firstly for what he did to us and secondly because he isn't worth it- just past his best years! Also he isn't very professional.

I'd say the he's just even for what the Rockets did to him.

Bring on all and any real talent...
    Especially at the PG position
    A Rafer/James backcourt sounds nice...

If the Rockets would have had Mike James coming off the bench at the point instead of the three-headed Head-Lucas-Spanoulis monster this year, they'd have made the WCF. If JVG would have made a commitment to pull Skip for James anytime Yao was off the floor, they'd have been a much, much better team. If he wants to come back, I'd take him.

i'd do howard for james easily. howard was good last year when yao was hurt but he was less than nothing in the playoffs. i imagine he was actually a negative impact out there. james is better than he played in minnesota, i'd wager he bounces back as a rocket.

The only REAl reason the rockets balked at trading james for Jho last season was that we're so thin in the frontcourt that we can't afford to lose howard, not all that chemistry BS. And the reason we didn't sell howard when he's high and buy james when hes low(stil low) is we thought we had a chance in the postseason last yr, which turned out wrong. I am not sure if the wolves will take on Jho's contract and his horendous performance now that the wolves can easily add a big in the offseason.

This is so sad-we will beg him back-when we could have had him a second time and choked on the trade kicker.

    Need some grit- pride.

    It's funny cause it's true

I agree with this post. I hope we get him back. We would be getting much more for Howard than we Got for Mo Taylor-Sweet!
