Bring em on.....this team will be ready.

So far this team has beaten on the road....

    Phoenix
    Los Angeles
    New Orleans
    Utah

and has beaten every other contender at home......

The only playoff contender that the Rockets have not beaten...is Dallas, and that will be rectified in a couple of weeks.

Actually I think the Shaq trade helped us! Shaq is way passed his prime. Sure, he still rebounds and in the playoffs he will be good for close to 20 ppg, but he is getting slower and Yao can defend him pretty well. And now that Yao doesn`t have to defend Stoudemire, Scola, Landry and Hayes can do that, and will do that pretty good. Nash will still kill us, but not having Marion anymore hurts them.

I definetely don`t want to see LA in the playoffs. When they are healthy they are just plain scary and could very well go all the way. NO could be tough as well, since we can`t guard CP3 at all! Once they figure out how to guard Yao again, we could be in trouble.

SA, DAL, UTAH and even PHX, we could beat all of those teams. It just depends on the kind of rhythm we are in, and they are in. When everybody plays to their full potential I still see us beat Dallas and Utah. SA could be tough, and Pheonix still has Nash and Barbosa.

We're one game from being out of the playoff picture. Lets not count our chickens before they hatch.

We have a 2 game lead on both Denver and GS as of twenty minutes ago. Lets not look too long in the rearview mirror lest we want to get in a wreck.

Every year this kind of thread gets started and it makes the board look like a bunch of wimps. If the Rockets can't beat the teams they have matchup problems with, then they won't be champions. Better to tackle those guys in the first round and have the players realize they can beat anybody.

And really, every team out there has some kind of matchup problems for the Rockets as the Rockets create matchup problems for them.

You mean like how we plowed through Seattle during both of our championship runs?

Matchups matter no matter how you look at it. Cleveland benefited a bunch from the seedings during their finals run last year. Spurs also had the luck to face Utah rather than Dallas in the conference finals.

To me, the team I fear is LA if healthy, because they have talent + superstar + great coach.

Suns? Not so much because Shaq slows them down so Yao doesn't get killed on defense anymore. I actually welcome a matchup with them so Yao can totally establish his superiority over Amare.

I feel pretty good about our chances against anyone else. Hornets gave us problems in the past, but play physical with them in the playoffs and their inexperience will show. And I don't think it's possible for us to play GS or Denver due to seedings.
