Rich Lord just said on 610 that the sentiment in the locker room is that Cush is likely done for the year.

Here's a list of some ILB free agents:

    Stephen Cooper
    Barrett Ruud
    Andra Davis
    Gary Guyton
    E.J. Henderson
    James Farrior
    Omar Gaither (WLB in 4-3)
    Greg Jones
    Scott McKillop
    Leon Williams
    Rennie Curran
    Nate Triplett
    Phillip Dillard

I doubt that any FA is going to be better than what we've already got, so that makes me think that we ought to trade a pick for a quality LB. We've got until the Tuesday after Week 8, I think.

Anyone have any thoughts on potential trade targets?

Saints just cut Barrett Ruud. Surprisingly has hopped around since his TB days.

Texans brought in Omar Gaither in the preaseason, cut him at roster cuts.

Stephen Cooper was a Charger. Not sure off the top of my head if he played for Wade there.

I saw someone on twitter mention that he did play for Wade.

He was placed on PUP, so out 6 weeks minimum. Next week is week 6 and it's not likely he'll be playing. With that said, no telling on how far or close he is to returning.

Hard to say for sure but it definitely looks like he'll be out for some time, if not the year. I thought about IR with designation to return but if it's anything with the _CL, I'm guessing he's done for the year.

Terrible Terrible unnecessary play from the Jet's OL.

My stomach hurts, hopefully we sign Farrior or Rudd or move Reed inside and have Mercilus play if he's ready, and that's a big if since he struggled in coverage in the preseason.

    Next Man Up.

Interesting thought, I wonder if this is possible. I wonder if he'd be better than Dobbins though.

Move Barwin inside since he is all that against the run., and besides Barwin decided to take the year off on getting sacks .. ;)
Mercilus in Barwins spot.. Problem solved

Ruud's just a guy who's riding the coattails of his Tampa days, where the defense schemed for all the tackles to funnel to his position. Farrior and Cooper since they're 3-4 ILBs, but they're probably as much a liability as Bradie James.

Guyton showed some flashes for the Patriots, but his wiki says that he's on the Dolphins.

I think you play your most talented players at this points and ILB is the thinnest position on the team. I would find a way to get Reed, Barwin, and Mercilus in there together
