Why aren't you more specific? I've always hated the Spurs so this thread interested me and I decided to post something about the topic. It's seems that you and other people like you, just troll threads and bash other peoples threads for no other reason than to just be annoying. HATER.

that's the team that went off on the Mavs in Dallas and T-Mac made Bradley taste his junk  right ?? Yep, that was an excellent Rockets team... That dunk of Tmack was sick... Man, we'll see what happens this year,, Spurs are old but this year they are relying on the young guns to win games and Manu simply closes out just about every game... It should be a great match up, rockets play the spurs tough every single time..

You have more championships. Your team has been infinitely better the last ten years. Can't argue that.

    But heres the catch...

    Your team is the Spurs

    The Spurs.

In the words of Kevin McCallister...

Is there a ****tier city on the planet then San Antonio? They could run of ten championships in a row, its not going to change the fact that its San Antonio and nobody gives a rats ass about that dump.

We've been about even in regular season games... in the last four years, we've split the series... but you've swept us two years in a row before that, I give you that, sir  ... and with just one game played this year you have the edge, but... "playoffs? You talkin' bout PLAYOFFS? We're just tryin' to win a game!"
    Code:
    Rockets vs. Spurs Playoff History
    YEAR ROUND ROCKETS RECORD OPPONENT
1980 First Round Houston 2 - 1 San Antonio Spurs
    1981 Semifinals Houston 4 - 3 San Antonio Spurs
1995 Conf Finals Houston 4 - 2 San Antonio Spurs
 This could be "YOUR" year?

We'll be the Dikembe Mutombo's Nuggets vs. the Sonics to your Spurs.

I don't know how old you are, your gender but I'm sure you have visited that dump of a city as tourist to see the alamo, seaworld or as a vacation destination when you were a kid or as a parent.. so have a little class..

If we get a good defensive center, the Spurs won't be able to keep up with the Rockets younger team. I really feel the Rockets are a defensive C away from a deep playoff run.

Exactly,, a game we barely won thanks to C Lee but for the spurs to beat the rockets, the mavs and laker or jazz to go to the finals to beat the celtics or heat ;;; man that would be the ultimate road to LEGENDARY status , the icing on the cake... As a HOF player/coach you don't think Tim Duncan and Pop have talked about winning the west and the title this year.. Legendary

Now there's the team spirit! haha The Spurs have been called old for the last three years and always managed to come through somehow. They are running on empty by playoffs time. Last year might be a preview of thier big 3 on the decline. Phoenix literally curbstomped them. Too young and athletic for them ageing Spurs. Houston is young and on the upside. Enjoy your spurs now because it will be a stroll on the River Walk once Manu and Tim is no longer relevant.

yes they're old but the difference this year is that the young guys are carrying, they are running and playing at a faster tempo and in the 4th quarter it's either manu, tim or parker closing the games out.. it's a veteran team and come playoff time they will be fresh if they keep playing this way..

If it's real i actually think it makes perfect sense...I think tone he used when telling him this isn't as negative as it sounds...but basically he's telling him to help the team, rather than saying, "you have to score" or you have to do this or that, just help the team. Team needs a rebound? Go get it. They need a score? Hit the shot if you get it. That's why that is doing so well without having alot of talent past the big 3.

As for the OP...i actually think Houston has a great shot at beating these guys. I dont think they match up well with us. Of course in last second situations Manu still rules us and he does everyone else, but i think we can keep it from being so close late. It's a team chuck can play against without hurting the team. Their frontcourt is all skill and hardly any athleticism, we can deal with that...even the rest of the team isn't that athletic, good matchup for us.
