Why would you want LaVine (especially over Simmons)? He's a braindead chucker with a terrible attitude, literally the kind of player we shouldn't even bother considering, he's perfect where he is, in a terrible organization.
I could see Riley going hard for Beard. I would push hard for Bam and 1 of Hero/Robinson plus picks in return
Now that Harden is definitively gone, I'd love to get Buddy Hield, great shooter that pairs well with Simmons. So this can be either a three-team trade or done in two steps. Harden for Simmons + Thybulle + as many picks and pick swaps we can get. Gordon + Piston FRP, Wizards FRP, and maybe 1 more FRP for Buddy Hield. Our roster gets much younger, and it's not a huge downgrade. We probably go from a second round exit to a first round exit, which is fine for a rebuilding team. We continue our winning culture, and make sure Simmons develop as good as he can, once Wall's contract expires, we'll have room to attract a second star and start to compete again. How about Embiid? His contract expires that year too, it'll be about the time to join his old teammate after winning a championship or two with Harden who is pretty old and Philly's payroll is in a mess as an aftereffect of contending.
Denver wouldn’t trade Porter Jr. for Dinwiddie and Jarrett Allen, anyway. Porter’s upside is way too high, and Jokic and Allen can’t play together.
I like where your heads at. If we get more than just Simmons, you have to imagine you have the assets to further improve the team with a Collins or Hield or maybe even something bigger later on down the line.
The team owes Harden 100% of nothing. He has played very well and been a prolific scorer during his tenure as a Rocket... and he has been paid handsomely for it. He has also been allowed a seat at the table for the decisions that have been made. His input has helped to put the roster in its current position. If he has indeed recruited guys like Wall and Cousins, it seems that the obvious move he wants made is a trade that moves Eric Gordon out. That’s going to be tough to do without sacrifice and I hope that Stone and Company continue to hold strong for the betterment of the team. With that being said, the team should not consider Hardens lists of preferred destinations. It should concentrate solely on capturing proper value for one of the leagues best scorers. That’s going to be very difficult to accomplish in today’s NBA landscape.
Would Simmons fit with Wall though? He can't shoot the ball. When has LaVine displayed a poor attitude? Sorry not that familiar with him.
his attitude isnt any worse than walls..... i wouldnt exactly want to build around him but his attitude isnt a reason not to trade for him. ive never heard anything about him having a bad attitude anyway. hes a good scorer but probably needs some work defensively. he needs to get stronger.
i cant imagine james fitting into heat culture. he doesn't seem to like to be told when his **** stinks. if he cant handle cp3 and westbrook challenging him how could he play with butler ? it just doesnt seem to fit to me.
Oh I got another good one. to the Wizards for a package of a lot of crap but not Russ. reunite him with his buddy!!! lol
I’ll keep going. To Utah for Gobert, Conley, Ingles and O’Neal. ... just throwing out 100% random packages that make no sense to anyone. actually you’d certainly do it for Donovan. also I’d do it for Jamal Murray and MPJ for sure. you guys have to realize... James Harden isn’t leading a team to a ring. Ever. Here. Another city. Whatever. This isn’t a Hakeem thing - that dude was a superstar in both ends of the court.
Since he came into the league lol, just search the video of him getting drafted by the Wolves, that tells you enough about where the guy thinks he should end up when his contract will be up, and watch how he plays, he plays for himself, zero defensive effort whatsoever, thinks he's better then he is when he's pretty much Kevin Martin with the opposite kind of personality. Maybe he'll grow up and be better in the future? Possibly, but i really don't want to be the team that has to find that out by offering him a max contract cause otherwise he will sign with NY or LA. As for Simmons/Wall yeah, i don't think they're a good fit, they could play together i guess, just like Harden and Westbrook did, but the fit isn't right, and Simmons would want to be the man here, while i'm sure Wall wouldn't want to be the second guy on the team so, in that scenario you would've to put Simmons in the best situation possible, otherwise you can kiss it goodbye and watch Simmons ask for a trade in few months so, yeah, if we do trade for Simmons i think the first think to do next would be to trade Wall too, get out of that contract and put Simmons in the best position you can.
