I like Sage...but there's more buzz around the league about Schaub. He's had limited opportunities to showcase his skills but Atlanta thinks so highly of him that they continually turn down offers to trade him. You know Min, Dal and NYJ have asked about him. Honestly he's the best QB on the market and he'll have plenty of suitors willing to drop a pick to sign him.

They're the (Cleveland Browns) doofusses that got Courtney Brown. Courtney Brown is worse than Mario and possibly, Travis Johnson much to your chagrin no doubt.

Thus the line, "we got Courtney Browned or we got Andre Wadsworth'd." :D

The Texans really need to be smart with whatever money they use. 1st target for me would be clements. He can cover and tackle and would be perfect opposite of robinson. Next I would go after Terdell Sands. He's big, young and would kill the running game along with Dalton if they bring him back. The raiders are known for letting some no name good guys get away. The Texans probably can get him cheap. As much as i love Thomas from Ravens, he is 29. I would draft Landry with my first pick and with my 2nd rd pick i would take merriweather. It would be nice to have a strong safety that can cover like landry and a fs that can do the same also. I think with Weaver,Williams,Sands, and dalton on the line with ryans as the mlb and Robinson and Clements at corner along with Landry and Merriweather on the back end, they could put offenses in bad spots. Imagine what kind of pressure williams could apply if teams had to pass like they do against vikings. With robinson and clements on the corners would be very, very good. Dont sleep on Sands from Oakland.

Since i think the defense is improved a bunch, u might as well build that damn defense to strong suit. I would still love to have thomas and clements/samuel. Samuel is kinda underrated and he has very good technique and tackling abilities for a CB.

After the punkfest Clements did on us in the Buffalo game, GET HIM! Clements is a very physical CB and did a hell of a job against our Andre. It's a no-brainer! Tandem this guy with Dunta and at best, have Petey do nickel, and you have a bad ASS group of cornerbacks.

This does two things: helps improve our speed, cover and physicality of our corners. Second, quality of depth for the corners, now to upgrade the safeties.

To tell you the truth I'm excited about next year despite the fact they still have 2 games to play this year.

The first thing they need to do is trade Carr for whatever draft pick they can get, hopefully a 2nd rounder from a team like the Raiders/Lions.

In the draft they take Peterson if he's still there, but if he's gone then they should take Landry. With a few early 2nd rounders I hope they can pick up a guy like Troy Smith/Darren McFadden. It just depends really, but Smith is still projected a late 1st rnder/early 2nd rnder.

Then sign Clements in the offseason and add another atheletic lineback and I'll be ready for the Texans next year.

a high second rounder for carr is highly unlikely. they'd be lucky to get a 4th or a 5th rounder. in the end, they'll probably just cut him.

Add Alan Branch at DT (Michigan) in the first round and Micheal Griffin (Texas) in the 2nd and we have the begining of a special defense.

While I like the idea of Branch and Griffin, I think we have to get some offensive help. We have no RB to speak as DD seems to be way too fragile. I think they will trade DC so I think first couple of rounds we end up getting help for the O. I would love AP and either T.Smith or Drew Stanton in the second. Hopefully we get a thrid rounder for Carr, which I think is possible, and we use the rest of our picks shoring up both lines. i would target a couple of DBs and another LB in FA.

I would like to build a dominant unit on one side of the ball. With the few players we have, i think we're on the way. I think offensively, they have enough talent to be good, but if the triggerman was better, it would be a better unit and Kubiak knows this. Even the games when the running game is good,Carr doesn't do anything. I still would like to get Clements 1st,Sands 2nd, and the 2 safeties in Landry and Merriweather through the draft. I'm still kind of wondering what weaver is. I dont really know if he's a penetrating tackle like Rod Coleman or a runstuffing type of end that might get you 6-8 sacks a yr. I would make that decision later i guess.

Despite what's happened to this team since their inception, anyone that knows anything about football can easily see that there are plenty of bright spots. They have a world-class facility, and a head coach who is a proven winner.

Please feel free to disregard my post if you just want to see nothing but doom and gloom for the Texans.
