Potential Embarassment for the Rockets Organization

Your the type of fan that probably doesn't like standing up and making noise. Die-hard Rockets fan and Spurs-lover doesn't go together.

That's just wrong. Greg Popovich is a slime ball who kicked out the coach before him so he could take the job. Classy? Hardly. They tanked a season to get Duncan. The have no unique style...they just copied what Houston did a few years back.

They are an over-rated team that will not be getting their 3rd ring. You can quote me on that.

 

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. What Houston was doing a few years back? They were not in the playoffs a few years back. I assume that you are referring to the mid 90's Rockets. Is it not possible that it's extraordinarily smart to copy that style of play? Use your big man, play great defense, hit the open 3. It's a great freakin game plan. I'm pretty damn sure the Rockets weren't the first to use that game plan. It's not like Hakeem was the first dominant center. He may be the best, he's not the first.

You can love the Rockets and respect another team. It is possible. I have been a Rockets fan since 1980. We moved to Houston from Philadelphia. I still follow the 76'ers. I live in Austin. I have no choice but to see Spurs games on tv and hear them on the radio. On occassion, I watch one. I went to the Spurs v Magic game last season to root for Stevie, Cat, and Cato. I respect the Spurs. I don't like them. I'm ok with that.

 

never said i was a spurs lover but i guess you cant read since i clearly said i dont like the spurs in my previous post...anyways name me one other team in the league that can play with anybodys style and win effectively...they faced slow down teams and won, they played phx at their game and beat them...sounds like you are just a spurs hater because at the moment they have a better team than we do...im a realistic fan i see different sides and give credit when its due...so what if they stole our style from a few years back?????are they winning with it now? yes they are so you can try to refute that if you want. as far as your statement that they wont get their third ring....we'll just wait and see who wins the championship this year.

 

I like the Spurs and hope they win especially if they play Miami. I like Detroit too so if they both go I will be happy whoever wins but I would still rather a TX team win unless it is Dallas. I'll also be happy as long as Shaq does not get anymore rings. I think San Antonio is a respectable team with class act athletes who will represent TX well. I do not understand the hatred for SA. I do look forward to Houston beating the Spurs for the WCF next year.

TD doesn't flop, Ginobili does, which is understandable, coz he's from Argentina where they have the most dramatic floppers in soccer games.

And I think Pistons is a worse flopping team.

The thing I waited on is the moves the Rockets makes this summer. And one thing that really puzzle me is does CD know how to put a championship team together. The rockets can't go out and get anybody and think you can be the spurs. To me that's been CD mode of thinking based on past decesion making. The spurs are the top team in the western conf. The rockets have to quit half steppin and go out and get the players that are going to make them on the level with the spurs or better. Or else we will be watching them win championship for the next 2 or three yrs.

It is so-called "fans" like you from other cities across the country that are behind the Rockets never getting any respect; not now nor during the Dream era. Don't complain about "others" not giving us respect if you do the same thing.

 

I'm aware we traded for tracy. Are we better than Spurs? No. Case closed.
