5. oped - opened
6. allready - already

12. Dont - Don't
13. to - too
14. seriusly - seriously
15. hummor - humor

You gotta love modern language and the human brain though. There are all these errors in this post but I can read it as if it's perfectly written. I got a kick out of the post shawn. Thanks man.

Way off topic, but as an Apes fan I just had to chime in...

...that pic of Charlton Heston in rags is from the first movie. It's from the sequence where a gorilla is hosing Heston down in his cage, and Heston's screaming, "IT'S A MADHOUSE...! A MADHOOOOOUUUUUSE...!"

And there's a hyphen in "anal-retentive". ;)

The Rockets won't be winning it all this year no matter what. Given that fact, who cares if the Spurs win this year?

now this is a man who understands his basketball. we're ahead of the spurs right now, we can't let them go up 2.5 to 2.

unfortunately, i don't think either eastern team can stop them.

Oh the Spurs will win the championship this year, there is no doubt about it. They would dispose of the Heat in MAX 6 games. Detroit would be a tougher matchup, and it might go to 7, but I still say likely in 6 games.

As for the organizations, the Spurs didn't "luck out" over the past 6-7 years, they have built a solid franchise and made smart decisions at every turn, acquiring the perfect players to compliment their superstar (Duncan) and their two rising stars (Manu and Parker). They have done ALL this while being below the cap:eek:

There is no better organization in ALL of sports than the Spurs have been for the past 5+ years. They are consistent, making the right moves, a classy organization over the years (no drama in that team), and have some of the best scouts/management in the league. If the Rockets had a management that was nearly as competent as the Spurs', this team would have been better years ago.

But hey, at least we got a very solid team now and hopefully have good things to look forward to in the future. But don't hate on the Spurs because they know what the f*ck they doing. That's envy and jealousy, and if a Spur fan was browsing through this BBS he would be laughing his azz off now. So don't give them any ammunition. They still live in San Antonio, afterall. And if you have seen the SBC Center, and compared it to the Toyota Center, you wouldn't be jealous of anything San Antonio.;)

Why is the conseption here that if SA wins a third ring this year they are better than the Rockets? We have a way better history and are still one up on SA with western conference championships(2 of which we beat them in). I'll take Hayes, Murph, Rudy and Malone over Gervin and the other overrated players they have hanging in there rafters anyday. I'll for damn sure take Hakeem & Thorpe/Drexler over Robinson & Elliot tambien! SA is the first ABA team to win an NBA championship, wupti%uckindoo! Took like 25 years, NY Jets did it in Superbowl 3 b4 the leagues merged.

Rockets are still the #1 team in Texas and it will take more than 2 1/2 championships the dethrown them!

Hey, if they win their third this season, just go with the old Phil Jackson reasoning and say the first one doesn't count due to a strike shortened season.: you are in favor of an asterik.

BTW, if baseball isn't a sport, then basketball is a carnival game.

I don't see it as an embarassment. They've earned their place. It's not like the Spurs are some crappy club like the clippers or something. Now Dallas, on the otherhand, just one championship for the Mavs would be one too many.

Not true at all matter of fact im a die hard rockets fan who actually really apperciates the spurs. its almost impossible to hate a team with that much professionalism class and dignity. they are just better than we are right now and its okay we wont be on top forever sometimes you fall off and have to start over again to get to the point you would like to get to. true rockets fans dont hate the spurs atleast not from my perspective.

you obviously are not in the vicinity of spurs fans like me. talk to one, you will learn their knowledge of the NBA is like Count Dooku, while the Rocket fans are Yoda-ish. Also, Spurs fans yap like Jar Jar Binks!

I dont quite have a taste for the characters you are using to describe whatever you are talking about....but yes to answer your question or rather uneducated statement about me not being in the vicinity of spurs fans i actually have been i have attended a bunch of spurs home games and yes their fans are annoying and rowdy because i cheered for the twolves in a game and they gave me a "im gonna kill you" look....however i dont formulate my opinions of a team based on the behavior of fans because if our fans were this way you would absolutely love it so thats a little jealous on your part. i dont enjoy watching the spurs and i dont like them for that matter one bit, but i do appreciate their style and their professionalism and i wish our team would become as well rounded as theirs. the versatility they possess is absolutely incredible and by far the best i have seen since the jordan led bulls. but i see you have formulated your opinion about them and its your right to have that
