The Nets trade Harden and get more in return than we did?

Morey never moving in silence the past few years…he’s either running his mouth or anonymous sources got him all figured out

Harden is tryna be a journeyman on Ariza’s level.

My feeling is he coud go to Philly but he would not mind staying with Brooklyn for little longer.

Playing the diplomacy card with both franchises.

    50-50.

I'm not completely sure it is better for the Rockets if Harden leaves if it is for a young and upcoming player. 2026 and 2027 are so long away when you are talking about players in their mid to late 30's. Lebron and Tom Brady have warped people's perception of what is possible. Lebron is smart/skilled was athletic as well and does everything he can to still perform at a high level. As good as Durant and Harden are they are not Lebron in that regard. The injuries will start piling up.

When that happens like right now Harden has to carry the load and that takes it's toll at his age as well.

wrt FAgency—We first have to work out a scenario where Harden opts-out of his $47m player option. Recall CP3 opted in with a trade lined-up with his GM to a team he likes (that’s not tampering), with a promise for an extended signing the following year to make up for lost money. But it took Jerry West, Morey and Les (in his last year) to pull that off.

Here, I don’t see Harden opting out. Why risk not finding a suitable cap situation or BKN willing to SnT him to a team he likes, vs staying put.

As for a summer SnT, aside from that still requiring an opt-out, BKN can’t make Harden sign one for a team he doesn’t want to go to.

Hope things fall our way, we could end up with an absolute treasure trove of future valuable picks.

I mean we could very well be playing in the second round of the playoffs in 26/27 while simultaneously scouting the top three players in the next draft.

What a time that would be.
