What are the odds that Brooklyn trades Harden to the Sixers by next month's deadline?

Harden for Simmons, Maxey and Curry works cap-wise. Doubt Morey will part with Thybulle; he's Rodrique Beaubois to Daryl's Mark Cuban.

Writers and bloggers need something to talk about. Once Harden is a free agent, he can do anything he wants. He isn't leaving Brooklyn unless Kyrie completely pisses him off and Durant is damaged goods.

How would this positively affect the Rockets? Maybe the league takes away picks from Philly or makes Harden stay in BKN. Either way, nothing for good for Houston.

Harden could really do us a solid here.

if harden leaves that is great for us, Kyrie part time playing, KD might be hurt or playing 48 mins a night and breakdown. Those nets picks are looking better and better.

Maybe it pisses off Harden so much that he sails off into the distance with Lil Baby. @tinman

No doubt Morey and Thaddeus are tampering.

I’m guessing there is a scenario where Brooklyn doesn’t get talent in exchange for Harden and he leaves for nothing in FA…but you are right that it also opens up the other scenarios where Brooklyn works a sign and trade with another team and actually gets someone better than Simmons.

this report gives additional credence to the idea that Harden leaves BKN, which obviously makes those BKN picks that we own much more valuable. The league has been all over the place in enforcing tampering fines/penalties (see MIL with Bogdanovic, CHI with Ball), so who knows what they will do if this tampering is actually occurring

I don't think the teams really even care about the tampering charges if they get to keep the player they wanted. They'll make 1000x more money in jersey sales and playoff wins so the slap on the wrist is worth it.

hArdens legacy in houston is already written. Look at how quickly team became trash as soon as he left.

Both of those things happening are not out of the realm of possibilities.

    TRUTH

Before Harden, Nets were struggling to play .500 ball with a healthy KD and a full time Kyrie.

Almost nil. Whether or not they are correct, BKN believe they are in title contention this year and that their big three, when healthy, are the best in the NBA. You don’t make a trade that sacrifices a title run midseason. That doesn’t mean they are right, but I can’t imagine they trade Harden, who is carrying them right now.
