In single elimination situations, the Rockets would be a team no one wants to play against. Over a course of a 5 or 7 games series, talent will beat the Rockets if height doesn't first.

Right now, I think the major issue the Rockets have is the lack of height. Hayes has been doing a downright outstanding job but height has killed us. The Kings game, last nights game against the Suns, etc. Once the opposing team puts that height advantage to use, it's over for the Rockets unless Brooks goes nova.

agreed. the thing is, to get into a 7-game series, a team needs to first go through an 82-game season. you just can't teach size. err, why doesn't yao have 2 titanium feet?

With this roster, I expect 40-45 wins. If Tracy returns and is a glimmer of his former self, then I'd add 5 more wins.

We really need size inside for rebounding and shot blocking. Hope Rockets can solve this problem.

I think we can sneak in as the 8th seed. 40 plus would be a pleasant surprise. I hope to see growth from the young guys.

With no major injuries or roster shake ups, 45 wins minimum and 53 maximum.

We have more then enough talent and a good enough coach to propel this team into the playoffs given the back steps some of our Western conference rivals appear to have taken and in some cases seem perpetually stuck in.

Yo Hornets, T-Wolves and Clippers, I see you kids out there, keep your heads up, those contracts ain't forever.

less than 35 wins and I will be very disappointed but at the same time happy to have a shot at getting a top lottery pick

35-39 wins I will be somewhat disappointed but (see above post)

40-43 wins and I will consider it a pretty good season

44-46 wins and I will be happy

46+ and I will be very, very proud of this team

40-45 with this team, 45-50 with tmac playing good.
without tmac 7th or 8th, with tmac 6th or 7th.

i said it before the season started. we will be the 5th Seed OR BETTER
so far im am looking good. this team has been playing one of the hardest schedules in the nba, and look at us with no Tracy or Yao... if Mcgrady comes back healthy that will make us in even better..

Lets hope this predictions comes true!

Remember that last year the players that took the most shots on our team were Yao, TMac, Artest and Wafer, all of which aren't here this year. The team we are playing is offensively untested. You could take that as a negative, or as the giant question mark that it is.

No matter how good you are, retroactively you get better after you do something great. I think that will happen with this squad. Right now they are undervalued. Buy now.
