The one thing the hawks need most is a pg. Marcus Williams is a solid true pg who whould help them a lot.
Yeah the Hawks need a PG bad, but Marcus Williams isn't even a Top 10 pick in a lot of the mocks. But the Hawks aren't the smartest team out there so there is always the possibility. Also, I like Carney at #8, but if Bargnani were to fall down to us, I would be pretty disappointed if we passed on him.
Thank God noe of you guys are listing that no-talent-assclown Noah from Florida. If I hear one more time that a player who is all hustle should go no. 1 in the draft, I will personally kill that person. You didn't see anybody take Bo Outlaw with the first pick.
Good. That way somebody can avoid drafting the next Shawn Bradley No. 1. Mark my words: Noah is going to suck in the pros, if and when he gets here.
I'm not a big fan of Noah but I don't think he'll be as bad as you think. He's staying for another year (as of now) and I think that will do a lot for his game. There have been plenty of players w/ less talent that have been decent in this league. BTW, you don't happen to be a UCLA fan do you?
1.Portland: Lamarcus Aldridge 6-11 2.Chicago: Tyrus Thomas 6-9 3.Charlotte: Andrea Bargnani 6-11 4.Atlanta: Adam Morrison 6-8 5.Toronto: Rudy Gay 6-8 6.Minnesota: Randy Foye 6-3 7.Boston: Marcus Williams 6-2 8.Houston: Brandon Roy 6-6 9.Golden State: Rodney Carney 6-7 10.Seattle: Sheldon Williams 6-9
I had a feeling McRoberts would stay, I think he could use another year as well. I'm still hoping Noah changes his mind, he would basically push everyone down a notch, giving us legit chances at Gay and possibly Roy.
http://www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=1282 "Q: That's fine. But now I'll have to make that inevitable question: the NBA draft. Are you going to declare? (Splitter): Yes, I've already declared. Q: So you are in again? What about your contract situation with Tau? (Splitter): I have a contract until 2008. My agents are trying to reach an agreement with the club. Let's see what happens until the end of the season. We have to wait for the NBA teams. But it's still early, there's nothing sure right now. For me, to stay in, I would have to be at least a lottery pick, so I could pay my buyout. But right now there's no value set. If they don't want me to go, they can hold me." It seems like Splitter is willing to concede a year's wages just like Carlos Delfino did with his buyout situation.
