I disagree. I remember the Pippen signing and from what I can remember he was really on the back end of his career. Howard still has a lot of basketball left and like one of the previous replies in this thread, he can still be a valuable trade asset if he doesnt work out. I think he just needs the right environment to be in to thrive. I know it sounds like a lot to cater to but I think once he gets here people will see how great of a player he really is.

I not against it but I am not crazy about him either.

In my opinion, he is a big man with some serious flaws in his game, which his teammates and coaching need to cover up.

However, given the current state of the NBA and the lack of quality big men, I dont see too many other great options.

 

this is how I feel. Would rather have an elite point gaurd and keep Asik but this is what is available so bottom line is it's still worth doing

I'm against it if what cyberx says is true and he didn't care much for Olajuwon being there. Who would want a guy on this team who doesn't respect the Dream and doesn't care a legend coming to meet you? Not this guy!

 

I'm ok with signing. I'm not ok with being his b****. Paying too much to him and his buddy, shaping whole offense and defense according to his 'talents'.

 

I am not against him signing here. I just don't trust his judgement in these situations. He's wishy-washy.

 

This. Pretty much what I thought as well, I'd be glad if we could get him, but expectation isn't really that high.

 

I like Dwight here for basketball reasons. But he is acting like a diva and I do not like it. We have a young core right now. We need to get a stretch 4. I heard a rumor about a month ago that if LA were to keep Howard, they would consider amnestying Pau. I think he'd be a great pickup. I like the idea of Josh but not as a 2nd option. SHOOTS WAY TOO MANY JUMPERS!

 

I don't like Howard and I hate all these dramas surrounding The Decision II. But objectively speaking, for Basketball Reasons, I understand signing him is a no-brainer.

 

I think Howard would be better on the Mavs, McHales playing style revolves around small ball and iso Harden so I don't know how this is going to work. Maybe if Phil Jackson or Pop was coaching but I don't see how McHale is going to control these superstars and their egos.

 

As a fan of another playoff team, I'd prefer if he went to the Bobcats or Suns.

 

Anyone that saw Dream play will not be impressed by Howard but he is the best center in the NBA by current standards and he would be a defensive stopper on a team that really stunk at getting stops last season.

If you need any additional motivation just go read the comment thread about our visit on espn.com. At this point, I don't care if he signs with Atlanta I just want to see LA go through a nice ten year period of being terrible.
