Howard is a shell of his former self since the back surgery. Sure he played better defense post all star break, and is still a good rebounder; but his already limited post game is even worse. He has almost no fundamentals on the offensive end, and is very prone to getting the ball stripped.

    He's not worth max money.

Grow up and stop trolling this thread.

You will be thankful later this season that he didn't sign. He's completely overrated.

    You're welcome.

Hmm. Back surgery or not, he led the league in rebounding last season. So I think he is not just a good rebound but the best rebounder in the league by far.

Agree. His post game is limited but not as bad as people think. He only has one really good move and that's the jump hook. It's been good enough for him to average 20+ points in 4 seasons and have a high game score of 45 points. If McHale and DR34M can help his offensive game, maybe he can average 20+ again. In addition, Lin and Harden PNR should help his offensive game.

As Morey has pointed out, super stars like Dwight are way under valued. If there was no cap, teams would be offering much much higher. Dwight if healthy and in form represents a 23 / 14 player with intimidating rim protection. How much is that worth?

Just some stuff Dwight has done:

    7-TIME NBA ALL-STAR

3-TIME DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

    4-TIME 1ST TEAM ALL DEFENSIVE

    5-TIME 1ST TEAM ALL NBA

    5-TIME NBA REBOUND LEADER

I think Dwight could help our team win more games.

Its supply and demand. Yes Dwight has regressed, but he is still better than everyone else. He played the majority of the year hurt, coming off one of the more serious injuries out there, and he still put up numbers most centers would punch a bear for. Anybody who genuinely doesn't want Howard has lost it. Hell lets just sign Paul Millsap while we're at it.

He played well... and the Lakers season could just be a bad season for him.
There is some risk to that signing but I think it's better having Howard than having Royce and several equally strong PFs on our roster and this whole lot of PGs.
    We need balance.

TMac missed more than 20 games in a season for the first time when he was 26. That's exactly how old Howard was when he missed more than 20 games in a season for the first time in his career. Coincidentally, they both happened in Orlando.

It wasn't just before the season started.

It was April 2012, 6 months before the season started.

I welcome Dwight here, at first I was against it, however he was in LA schooled by Kobe on how to do it, I believe Howard is a changed man, boy can't wait to see how good our defence will be! I come to love great defence.

You forget you can always trade him if he is really whom you say he is.
