http://www.tmz.com/2010/05/28/ron-artest-gym-workout-playoffs-nba-legs-abs-photo-picture/ Now, I've heard of overkill ..., er, dedication ..... but this is ridiculous! Workin' out is the last thing this dude needs to be doing. First, he should have went straight back to his hotel room and watched his post game on court interview SEVERAL times, so he can actually get that he was ridiculed on national TV. Then maybe watch a tape or two and make a tally mark for every stupid shot he takes ... knowledge is POWER!!!!!
I don't think this is uncommon. I remember reading Yao did this a lot too. I think there's some special benefit to doing it right after a game. Maybe there's a physical trainer around here who can tell us.
Yea I think alot of athletes do this. It's really not that out of the box if you think about it...these guys are professional, highly conditioned athletes. Think of the game they just played as a an extraneous cardio session and now they are just getting their workout in with the weights to keep their strength/muscle mass. These guys are active all throughout the day even on game days
If this was last year, you guys would be singing praises. "How luck we are to have such a hard working guy on our team", "T-mac should be ashamed!" blah blah blah,.... What do you call that? Hypocrites?
I changed the channel right at the end of the game. What did he say in the interview that was such a big deal?
I thought the highlight was when Sager said something along the lines of "As you know, Ron Artest grew up in Queensbridge, NY...where they apparently play without a shot clock".
