I'm not sure if Adelman could have managed this game any worse. Lowry was playing an absolutely horrendous game... why he played more than 15 minutes is beyond me. And why Jordan Hill played only 9 minutes when the Wizards were getting everything they wanted inside... I have no idea. I'm not going to say this one is completely on RA because the team played with zero intensity to start the game, but my goodness, that was terrible roster management.
I don't understand Adelman's decision, why battier was in the game where he was scoreless the whole night, why Miller was playing in the game, the guy couldn't buy bucket and any player on the court could score on him. he played Hill in the first half and then in the second half Adelman didn't play him at all. I was just like WTF Adelman is doing, I don't get it, is he doing that on purpose..??
Yea this is not really fun watching. Kmart is doing a good job in his role, but I am starting to get frustrated watching Chuck Hayes struggle to rebound (his specialty) against players that are taller than him (everyone). Also tired of watching Battier pretty much do nothing. Jordan Hill makes some mental errors but good god let him try. Kmart was the only guy to step up in the 4th.
On a side note though, Wall looked pretty good out there. Looks like Washington got it right so far with this kid. McGee looked good too.
I don't think so. Perry Jones and Harrison Barnes are two guys i'd be ecstatic to draft. I'd be worried if Rick was still around though, he wouldn't play either of them then we'd send them to the Dleague. Funny how the undrafted guys like Hayes and Ish get more PT over guys like Hill and Patterson...although Ish has been really solid.
Seemed like the Wiz were getting all the lucky bounces off the rim, and even when that wasn't happening, they were tall enough just to yank it out of the air above the rockets' heads. Got tired of hearing Bill say that they were just too tall. The officiating seemed slanted towards the Wiz as well, every questionable call that came up, it usually became favorable for the Wiz. Lowry played terrible, made several very questionable decisions with shooting the ball when obviously, he doesn't have any shot-making ability to begin with. Made a few decent defensive plays that didn't really matter all that much. Miller was a moving stiff, couldn't finish, couldn't make any good passes. Completely ineffectual. Ish was the only bright spot for the rockets, made some heady plays and it looks like his shooting has improved considerably.
Damn Rick, Why don't you just announce you're tanking. You put Lowry in during the 4th when he's obviously still injured, And you also decided to show your W-E-I-R-D love for Chuck Hayes even though Blatche is scoring and tipping rebounds over Chuck's head to himself? If I were Les, I would consider BLOWING THE WHOLE THING UP!
BLOW THIS TEAM UP NOW !!! TANK THIS YEAR NOW AND GIVE Hill, Patterson, Ish, JT, playing time to GROW. Trade everyone NOT named SCOLA or MARTIN !!! GO GET A COACH THAT GIVES A DAMN ABOUT PUSHING HIS PLAYERS IN PRACTICE AND DURING THE GAMES. GO GET A COACH THAT DOESN'T LOSE THE GAME BECAUSE HE KEEPS HIS HEAD UP HIS AZZ AND CANT PLAY THE PLAYERS THAT ARE OBVIOUSLY PRODUCTIVE ...there is NO GOOD EXPLAINATION why Ish did not close the game when he clearly outplayed Lowry ...there is NO GOOD EXPLAINATION why Hill did not close the game when he clearly outplayed Miller This is why we suck and are 1-6 Lets be real about this team and tell the truth.
I'm not watching another game untill they turn this around or bold moves are made. This is pathetic. This team needs a shake up. Something not right with it looks good on paper, but on the court is painful to watch. Lowry shooting 3's? What is wrong. From what i see the team has no idenity. They are sloppy and lousy on both sides of the floor. Yao gets injured only 6 minutes in the game. WTF? Something has to give and they are stinking pathetic.
We are not bad. Lets see we are bad, but you blaming the coach? Are we bad or the coach is just not using the team right?
maybe we are what the record says we are, everybody is saying this team is much better than the record says but I have a feeling that they are not turning it around any time soon.....
Yep, Indy pretty much has owned the Rockets in the Yao era. IDK the record but it seems like we can't ever beat them.
I only counted about 2 running floaters from Ish tonight, if that. He made most of his jumpers and 3 pointers by my count.
What are you saying - this is all Adelman's fault? Well, for once I agree - the subs were bad. You sub when they're cold, not when they're hot, Rick.
