0 and 2.......Rockets need to not let this affect them for next game. Adelman needs to do better job coaching. Fans need to not go chicken little just yet.

Thinking the same thing. Losing games like this will make sure you'll miss the playoffs in the West.

if Scoleffries can combine for 41 points, 23 rebounds and 1 block (Scola!) every night, who needs freaking Jordan Hill. ;)

no silver lining tonight...we really need lowry back.
    our defense is just horrendous.

WHY THE HELL IS JARED JEFFRIES PLAYING?

    Where is Hill?

Adelman was on top of his game tonight.

Scola is a beast...he is going to avg 18-10 this season.

Tough game and certainly concerns but just 2 games.

    Scola with 36 and 16.

    .....

    Sigh.

    Get ready for Denver.

Our defense is bad. And it's not just Ellis and Curry going off. I'm talking about little things like Blake being left wide open in game one. Or numerous role players not being closed on in this game and not boxing out David Lee. Yeah, Ellis had a godly night, but other role players met expectations or exceeded them because the Rockets are just not focused on the defensive end right now.

I can't count the number of times tonight I exclaimed "I WANT YAO MING" on defense.

But the C's beat the Heat the night before!

    LOL!

No excuses for this game at all! Nothing went right except, as usual, Scola, who is the most consistent Rocket on this team!

I like how everyone blames RA lol. When we win, hes an offensive genius and a great coach but when we lose its his fault. So what you guys are saying is that they didn't talk over anything during halftime or timeouts on how to stop them? Ridiculous. Maybe some of yall should apply for headcoach next season

I really don't know why Miller is still on the bench on the back end of a back-to-back. He's being paid $15 million and yet Chuck trots out first.

    And please play Jordan Hill...

There's no gimme games this year. A lot of teams have improved.

This just shows how much Yao's limitations is going to hurt this team. Playing only 24 minutes and no back-to-backs is going to kill us. We need his defense and presence inside. It's too tough in the West. The playoffs are not guaranteed just b/c we are deep and look good on paper.

That was the most annihilating 4-point loss I've ever seen. I get that the Rockets were tired. I get that Adelman isn't sure how to handle the non-Yao games. I get that the Warriors were red-hot for their season opener at home. But JESUS CHRIST. :(

Excuses can suck my ass. Battier was completely useless out there tonight and Brooks wasn't much better. The "Chuck Hayes Can Play Center!" thing has got to STOP. The Rockets bit on every pump-fake, missed every rotation, and were burned by every crossover. Incredibly painful to watch. They got it together enough to stop looking foolish towards the end of the third, but by that time it was much too late. There was never any point throughout the game that the Rockets appeared capable of slowing the Warriors down. I'm considering the possibility that it may be necessary to scale back expectations for this season considerably. My only comfort is that Morey was probably screaming at the TV just as much as I was.

Thank you David Stern for sending our guys all the way to China to play a meaningless couple of games, then for having our team open in LA, then immediatly play the worst type of matchup after LA on the very next day.

    SternDouche strikes again.

One will never confuse Aldeman with Phill Jackson. It is not only about this game.

Jeffries helped stopped the bleeding. His D was solid. Brooks got burnt by every warrior who shot over him. Its like the same situation as last year, when Lowry is injured, Brooks shoots well but can't get us a win.

Amazing how close we were given how hot GSW was shooting. If Scola didn't miss both freethrows and Brooks didn't make that costly turnover, we could've stolen this one at the end. Ah well, so it goes.

Props to Scola on offense and board, but on defense side..how many of those sf/pf from GS took em to the hole and scored easy baskets? If only Yao were there...he would change every single shot and block a few

Good to see the panicking is in full effect.

Two season openers on a back to back without Kyle (both nights) and Yao (one night) against the defending champions and a very impressive golden state performance, odds were a little stacked don't you think?

    It's not a sprint, it's a marathon!
