Yes but Celtics are looking for Home court Adv.

But is only 2 games on the road. I don't think other than the Lakers in west no team will win 55 games and this year. Just win at home beat the teams on your division and try to win the Head to Head to teams that you going to be fighting for a playoff seat. Neither the Lakers that will likely win the West or the Warriors who I don't think will make the playoff are team that will affect us.

50 get u in but 54 maybe grant you a second seat. No Panic at all.

go back to see the video, make improvements on defense, that's what they should do.

I am readjusting my expectations, 50 32 would be reasonable, until they figure out how to play team defense, this team will be a joke.

did he?? i guess it was during the stretch when i walked off for a min or two....i definitely had no problem with chuck or JJ being out there, but i think RA should have got the bigger bodies in there more quickly. It was obvious their speed on the perimeter wouldnt be stopped, clogging up the paint and pushing them around some could have slowed things down, maybe messed with their rythm, collected some hard fouls...... their confidence and swagger never left them because we didnt try hard enough to disrupt it and instead went with their flow.

    1. why was chuck starting center? that got us to a fantastic 42 win season last year, is RA trying not 2 mess with success?
    2. why was battier in the game so long? at least lee played SOME D on monta!
3.every1 who's sayin GS is a good "shooting team" and it was just a "freak night" should look at last year when it seemed like every other night some1 had a freaky shooting night against us bcuz we has NO D! i thought defense was gonna b our calling card this year!
4.WHERE THE HELL IS OUR VAUNTED DEPTH??? brookes is playing extended mins AGAIN, it wasnt like ish sucked THAT badly was it? hill is warming the bench when this kind of game is right up his ally, srsly, does adelman just not play BAD rookies r sumthin? i thought we where supposedly gonna send WAVES of players out to disorient opponents and keep our starters fresh r watevr, whats the point of having good depth if you never use it?
i understand not playin miller who is slooooooooow, but why are we trying to play GS's game? which brings me to
    5. good teams make other teams adjust to themselves, why are we, as versitle as this team is, not able to find a good matchup against the FREAKIN GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS?? hill is an athletic big who, even if he doesnt get a lot of blocks, still makes opponents think b4 gettin in the lay-up line, i swear even having jj in cut into thier lead, so what does rick do, HE PULLS HIM OUT?
    6. WHY THE HELL DOES RICK INSIST ON PULLING OUT GUYS JUST WHEN THEY BEGIN TO GET SUMTHIN GOIN? it was chase yestrday, jj looked sumwat decent 2day (defensivly anyways) lee seemed to be able to defend better then battier , but nooooooo, back 2 the bench guys, we wouldnt want 2 actually win a game!

anyways, at least scola startd 2 look more like himself,n speed racer is KILLN FOOOLS! 50 free throws n we lost? lol-waaaaat?!
m gonna blame the coachin agin, pardon my tirade, i jst needed to get all that off my chest, as you were folks

    Stop it!

    Guys,

We lost to a young, pumped up Warriors team on their home opener by 4 points despite having Monta Ellis shoot 18-24 from the field. And this is AFTER we just lost by 2 points to the defending champs, Lakers, in THEIR home opener!

You can blame our defense against Ellis to a certain extent, but for a guard to shoot 18-24 primarily from jump shots is crazy, he was just on a roll.

Despite all this we only lost by a combined total of 6 points!

We now have a couple days off and finally get to go home and play the Nuggets followed by the Hornets and the Spurs.

We had the toughest 2 game opening stretch in the league and we have can take away alot of positives from each of these games despite losing both.

Just relax guys, its a long season...and things are no way near as bad as they may seem.

    I'm over the loss.
Now stop posting threads like these that remind me of our recent failures.

Also over the loss, but some of us are worried about things we have seen from last season I guess and just discussing the loss.

I agree I think the team will be fine, but it sucks to lose a game like this on paper. Especially like you say...Denver and San Antonio up next, we can easily be 0-4.

Ellis was also driving into into the hole and finishing at will. Help defense was atrocious.

The Rockets matched up better against small-ball teams like GSW last year than they did when they had Yao.

What was the alternative? Jordan Hill or Brad Miller?

Good point. But Adelman is known not to use double teams. I has been a problem for a while.

I would have started Jordan Hill.

I think Hill is the new Gerald Wallace.

Yeah, Miller made a 3-minute cameo in the second half. IIRC it was during that stretch when Martin was foul-baiting the Warriors like crazy. So I guess the pace did slow down some when Miller was out there. :)

But for whatevr reason, he didn't stay out there too long. Not sure why.

Now that is NOT FAIR. I understand you are pissed off, but come one, you just can't scream and blame everybody around for your Rockets losing 2 in a row. It is what it is. You have to play.

I tought the Rockets had a DEEP rocter so situations like that should not be a problem. I guess I was wrong.
