Yea, figured that but the Rox have a thing about showcasing players and last night Jeffries got the call over PP.
I saw Taylor heckling Patterson when he was sitting on the bench in last night's game. Probably letting him know Patterson wasn't far behind him.
I found interesting how Bill did mentioned that the team would benefit when Brooks being back soon but he did not mentioned Yao being back. The team is still playing to get to .500 and I hope they do by the end of the year.
I had to miss some parts of the game. Did Scola get hurt or something? We needed offense and he wasn't playing in the fourth?
Gotta suck royally for 2-3 seasons to get that these days...and I mean SUCK...push 60 losses and whatnot.
I believe we picked him for Portland, rather than picking him for ourselves and then deciding to trade him.
We BETTER be by New Years or it maybe time to start considering a different direction. Although the West is NOWHERE near as strong as it has been. The 5th seed is right there for the taking even if the Rox can stay at least close to .500. Problem is that schedule, Yao, AB and T-Will need to be playing and productive for the squad to survive though January. Utah has begun to come down to earth. Denver will fade once they deal Melo. New Orleans is STRUGGLING, it took a miracle comeback vs the Kings AT HOME to avoid another bad loss. Phx/Portland are just as inconsistent as we currently are.
I think you have to consider the Rockets already making a move for that new direction Martin, Lee, Williams, and Hill. Its a different, almost out of leftfield, group of players that when combined seem to make half a bit of sense. The team has gone young. Remove Miller (who was signed as a favor to adelman more or less) and Scola who is just a beast, you have a really young team that has a ton of upside. You are probably seen the best that Martin has to offer, but i will take what he is offering for now. As for Lee, Williams, and Hill...its a little sexy in its own sense. You have a few players on an underperforming team that have incredible ceilings, yet are living in the basement. This team is far, far removed from the Rafer Alston Rockets and that really wasn't too long ago.
Am I reading this thread right? People think the 5th seed is within the Rockets' grasp? Hope springs eternal during Christmas time I guess.
