Leeb, I knew he was not starters material, but I did not expect him to struggle this badly. It seems the refs are not falling for his flopping antics as much either, probably another downside to so many minutes on the floor. DD
Lowry is just trying to force too many things out there which is causing him to turn the ball over so much, he just need's too chill when other PG's score all over him and keep his control and try not to attack hard back or else it's going to be a TO! This team needs to make a trade already, we have too many good role players but no Superstar to take us to the top, time for a trade!
I didnt think we had much of a shot against the Thunder going into the game; playing without AB, Chase, and Yao against a team that, even at our best, poses serious mismatches didnt bode well for our chances of winning. Ditto to a lot of what other posters on this thread have already said. Lowry's level of play this season has been very disappointing, and I'm not sure what the issue is. Gotta assume that at some point, he'll turn things around. I still think that at full strength, the roster is above average and can compete for 45-50 wins, assuming it plays to its strengths (which is no guarantee). That said, the fear is that the current roster, as assembled, has been constructed in a way that makes upgrading the team - at least appreciably- very difficult. Are we destined for perennial mediocrity?
Absolutely! That was the one that thing that worked so well for them at the start of the season. Oh wait: Never mind. How long before pitchers and catchers report?
I am not saying 'don't try for a trade' just that there isn't one out there that will fix this ship at the moment. So, the best thing is to focus on getting healthy. DD
As a sidenote, I wasn't impressed at all with what I saw from JT, the self-proclaimed best guard on the team.
He said he was the best guard? Really? Yeah, his problem is his lack of understanding how to play at the NBA level. He is like a guard version of Stromile Swift... DD
So true lol. You can tell this guy is so athletically gifted. Has a nice jumpshot too, but just doesn't get the NBA game. He takes the most ill advised shots of any guard on the team.

Looks like he over did The Breakfast Klub, lol. Its not the first time someone has feasted on southern food and gotten fat. Hell, i had a badly sprained ankle and gain 30lbs in 30 days off moms cooking in my physical prime. It also took me 30 days to get back down to my sleek body of 6'4 225lbs. I think at some point lowry will get his weight back down and have a positive effect on the game, but so far, just like in memphis, he's just showing what others thought he was. Lowry is just energy off the bench, nothing more, nothing less. It takes a certain degree of stamina and understanding to be a starter in this league. Its almost impossible to play as wreckless as he does for 40 minutes. Remember those 36min per stats? Go and see if those equal out to the minutes he's getting now. This team has bigger issues than lowry.
You keep talking about him being "fat", but the guy is built like a truck....his mold is similar to artest's, but Ron wears his unis tighter, so it's more obvious. If you look at his play it doesnt look like someon who's out of shape or fat, he looks stiff, as in he's favoring something, voluntarily or not. Could be one of his recent injuries he's worried about or some imbalance from lifting. Might be overworking his posterior chain and that's overpowering his front chain and causing the back problems. Look at his pictures from this season and there's almost zero difference, if anything, he may be more muscular this year.
This feels like the start of a 3-year rebuilding plan. This season is just a setup for next season or the one after. Or we're trying to ride the tide until after the new CBA (or ensuing lockout). Either way, we need to get used to this being how this season is going to go.
