Yes, it was a lane violation, but there is a lane violation on nearly every free throw. I don't like how the refs chose this time to call it and ultimately decide the game for us.
Yeah well Brooks is probably not thinking about how he made all those shots, he's thinking about how he missed that last couple of plays. Do you still not get my point?
Our fault for letting the refs have that option. And I was simply correcting Someguy of the correct rule on that play. Not debating whether or not they should have called it.
I'm not sure what you mean by it being our fault. It was our fault we missed all those free throws which put us in that position. I know you're not debating the subjectivity of the call, but I wanted to throw my $0.02 out there while I was on the topic.
Don't know why he would, considering the way he was playing wasn't even good enough to EARN him minutes beyond Adelman's pity time. It is strange, how I keep hearing people talk about even a 80% McGrady being better then what we have now, when if you actually watch the games he played, he was more like 45 to 50% of T-Mac of old. It was a good game, sucks that some of the calls weren't going our way and that early drought of offense, once again put us in a hole, but at least we made them earn it. Still, don't understand why Dorsey was out there, didn't see the whole game, but from what I saw at the end of the second, he didn't do much.
what a bother... refs cost us that one because the were too chicken to call Amar'e 6th foul in regulation... and then gave them the call on the other end. We could have kept it out of OT if that hadn't been the case On another note... I will have you all know that I have lost my patience with Clyde. For the longest time he didn't bother me, he even amused me with his less than correct observations about the game or his repetition of what Bill said to answer a question... now every moronic statement that comes out of his mouth makes me want to A: pull my hair out, B: pull Bill's hair out *or off, C: duct tape his mouth shut, or D: take away his HOF status for having no idea what basketball is really about. Now I know why Adelman could handle guys like Webber and Artest... they are way way smarter about basketball than Clyde. Do you know how painful it is to think that's the case... but it is so true. Dr. Naismith must be rolling over in his grave at some of the things that Clyde says... I muted from the middle of the third quarter on... I couldn't take it.
y ea i too noticed that they should have called amare's 6th foul way before. If you saw the play he fouled out on, it was obvious but the reffs hesitated too. And clyde was extra annoying today as well. I forgot who it was about but he was talking about the person like they were really good when they really weren't, just really scripted i guess.
You can hit a thousand free throws in practice then go miss two crucial free throws in a row during a game. That's just the nature of free throws.
It's just so sad he will be out for a while due to recent knee injury. Meanwhile the D-League callup Will Conroy just do an ordinary job to fill in the absence of Lowry, which pretty much is below my expectation. And hope he'll have better performances down the stretch as the schedule continues. Wish Lowry the best and speedy recovery.
