you are right. it hurts a lot, we just can't call ourselfes a team, we suck down the stretch. We have already lost 2 games which we should have WON.
Tmac scores less than 10 points in a game...my expectation is we lose most of those games. Tmac has to pull his weight or this team is going nowhere. It's unfortunate that this looks like a season where Tmac will score 20+ one night and end up in single figures the next night. But, this is a team loss and meltdown in the 4th. Brooks driving to the rim knowing Tim Duncan is lurking is not the best decision in the world if you are in desperate need of a bucket. It's early but this team is not living up to all the hype right now. They need more time to get it together. We need our three superstars to play like superstars and get their points. I don't think the idea is that one can take the night off (or off night) and expect the other two/rest of the team to pick up the slack. That's not what I was thinking when we brought Artest in...but it seems that is what is happening on most nights. But, in the end, this game also showed us why we need Rafer to run the offense.
A few thoughts from last night's debacle: I love AB, who had more points & as many rebounds as Yao, but he's more of a 2 than a 1. He's more effective as a scoring 1 when BB is running the 2 alongside him-- spaces the floor better and lets AB operate. Von Wafer is hitting 100% of his threes. Play him. Luther's done. Poor Luther has a habit of committing a turnover within one second of entering games. T-Mac needs to sit out and rehab for a while, like maybe the rest of his life. His vertical is horizontal. It's painful to watch him playing like this. Come back, Shane! Maybe Shane will help our spacing & ball & player movement, be the missing ingredient, get us going on a streak... I hope. We'd better D up and get some transition buckets, because our set offense is offering up exactly that for the other team. Coach Adelman better get these guys to buy into his system soon, or find something else that works. Like, get the ball to Yao and get back!
i just cant agree with u anymore... since the first day t mac was traded to rockets i knew that he was a cancer from a basketball point of view... but steve was not better than t mac... so i hadnt said anything about the trade... the way how t mac look very good but wasnt efficient and reliable at all
1. Because the Rockets are playing like a bunch of Morons. If you know Tracy is a little fragile (soft) right now, Artest should be the second option. 2. Again defense is there from everyone except TMac which really shows in games. The team can't run around the entire court every time Tracy gets lazy and doesn't play defense. 3. Because they tried to give the ball to Tracy to create, not to try and be the hero on one leg and no heart. 4. Posting up Yao and Artest should be our priority right now. Until we get healthy Tracy should just be a play maker and get everyone involved unless he is red hot. That is it! 5. I don't miss Rafer at all. I would rather see Von Wafer in there as a backup. Granted Von is more prone to turnovers, but it's the same damn thing when you brick every single time you shoot, YOU TURN IT OVER. This team will get better over the course of the season, but I just expected a lot more than what I saw against Boston, Portland, LA, and San Antonio.
After this loss I'm going to the damn strip club. I need a lapdance and a shot of grey goose in the worst way. **** it I just need to bust my nut.
The pattern for McGrady stinks. I just wish we could get a player with some desire instead of him. He's done, I feel. Unfourtunatly. Proove me otherwise. Ill be waiting patiently for another season. again.
It's still early in the season, so obviously there is time to make up for these losses, there is time to gel and better understand the offense. However, even with that in mind, I can't help but be upset with this Rockets team. How is it that PROFESSIONAL basketball players can't hit a single basket in 4 minutes. That to me is inexcusable. It would be one thing if the Spurs just played amazing down the stretch, but really they didn't do anything amazing, they just ran their offense and rebounded the ball from all the Rockets' misses. I think people who are making fun of those who are upset about the game are being kinda dumb. The fact is, we as fans have the right to be mad when you're team loses like this. I don't agree with all of the "we won't even make the playoffs..blah blah" but I can definitely understand where fans are coming from when they say that this team doesn't look like it's going anywhere. 1 loss isn't a big deal, but when you lose like this, there is reason to be upset.
its early in the season, but we gotta face the fact that we're not gonna go on a 22 game win streak, so we cant keep playing like sh** unless we're on national tv
That's a good point as well, that's why I think that although we shouldn't go into panic mode, we can't bank on 10+ win streaks the 2nd half of the season. Improving our chemistry, improving the way we run the offense, all that starts now. If we try to put it off until the 2nd half of the season then things will be as bleak as some people here predict them to be.
I really wish I had not watched the game. I may have to skip a few to get that "Rocket" feeling again. Right now, I don't want to see them play again.
Bright side: no major injuries yet. Its gonna take a while for this group to get in sync, be patient friends.
thanks but you didnt answer my questions, you basically agreed with what i was pointing out....i want to know whyyyyyyy....i agree with you 100% though
