Tracy McGrady: the only superstar who never got out of the first round and was past his prime at 26.

OK, great, but that's not the Tmac I've seen. Why do TMac fans live in this fantasy world like he's going to get better and be consistent. Those are my biggest gripes with Tmac, Consistency on a Star level.

Trust me, as a Rockets fan, I would love for Tmac to get better and return to 2001 form, but eight years later that is highly unlikely. That's the biggest problem with these kids coming out of high school and playing with men. It went OK for Moses, KG, and Kobe, but not for a lot of the rest of them.

I think about what bucher said last year about mcgrady:

Tmac has no fight in him. At some point you have to get rid of "the morphine drip that is Tracy McGrady."
Tmac is the one on the Rockets that doesn't want to run because you have to work hard to run and be in good shape
Tracy's hinders the Rockets because he has the ball in his hands all the time. His short comings spill over on the team. He likes the half court game because then he'll get 25 shots a game and dominate the ballThe most you can get for Tmac is maybe a Richard Jefferson tops.
I (Ric) don't want to be in a fox hole with Tracy.
Tmac has all the talent in the world. He has wasted it.
Yao tries his best and "in spite of some of his struggles he will bring the fight to you...he wants to try to get it done...he is not afraid of the challenge"

Watching this team play like this for the past 3 weeks is really starting to make value Battier even more...

Tracy should have gone to college. It could have improved his character and taught him how to be winner.

I'm not going to burn my Tmac jerseys or anything, but dude has really been disappointing the last 2-3 years. yeah, he steps up a little in the playoffs, but c'mon, so does Robert Horry.

When i look at how Detroit is handling the Lakers i just shake my head! Either you play hard or you play like girls. Iverson doesn't look like he is having a problem understanding his new teammates! You gotta want it!

naw man, i think what pisses most people off is that if tracy is really injured, which it clearly looks like he is out there on the court, he should just sit himself out for a couple weeks or a month or however long it takes to get back to his normal self. of course barry isn't better than mac, but playing injured and pretending everything is alright when it's not does hurt the team.

once they got the 14 pt lead, the team stop running the offense, no movement, did the tmac pick and roll at the top of the circle over and over again and tmac doesn't have the quicks to get around the corner like usual, so he can't get other people or himself an easy shot.

if they had just run the offense in the last 4 mins instead of going to the pick and roll/stagnant offense they would have been fine, instead yao got it on the post with no movement so duncan was set behind him and ready to play d(and knock the ball away from yao).

just run the damn offense, i don't get why they can't just run the freaking offense.
each loss is a lesson learned, so at this point the team will have learned all needed lessons by midseason.

for real though, the team will be fine, its just really frustrating to watch a loss like that.

This loss is really painful, and its time for this organization to take a hard look at the future. This loss could come and hurt us at the end of the season, but then again it might be irrelevant if this team does not turn things around.

Coach RA really need to take a look at himself as a coach. He was supposed to come in improve the offense of a once very good defensive team. Last year, they figured it out and we took off. This team has clearly regressed defensively and mostly offensively. I know the spurs are a great defensive team, but with an old depleted team? you have to be kidding me. RA needs to be held accountable from this point on. Why have Artest shoot a 3 when we needed a 2?

If TMac will be shooting 2-12 and 1-11 after every other game, then he needs to sit and heal like Battier and francis. Last year, this team took off why Tmac got injured and Alderman decided to go with Luther. This team took off! Tracy was coming off the bench at the beginning of the streak last year. The team had bought into Coach As system. This is completely gone out the window now. This team with TMAC, Artest and Yao are just not making hard cuts and moving the ball. So we have to ask, why did we fire JVG? Where are the easy baskets that were supposed to be the product of the princeton offense? 75 points against a depleted team? unacceptable.

Our Big 3 could not defeat the big one of the spurs. Tim made 2 key baskets and the game deciding block down the stretch. We had 3 all stars on the floor and the play is ran for the 2nd year player. He is not payed enough to make that play, I m sorry.

Yao is a great center, but he is not in the category of Dream, Shaq in his prime, Wilt, because of one word. DOMINANT. Yaos frame and size makes it hard for him to react quickly on his moves offensively and defensively. This team badly needs size upfront, Deke is still needed for defense on this team.

With this devasting loss tonight, we have to ask if this team, even if healthy, can win it all with YAO and TMAC. It just seems like they are not ready to run the coach's system or be committed to play D every night.

It might be time to consider rebuilding after this season.

Will Detroit still agree to trade R Hamilton and R Wallace for Tmac, if they still do (I know it is close to a day dream), in addition to Tmac, we should ship away Head, SF3 without a eye blinking

Extremely unlikely now. They're spanking the Lakers right now in Staples Center.

Rockets does not need a players coach. They need a coach like Pop or Jackson, a real disciplinarian who does not look to be pals with his players. So much for players only meeting 3 days ago. I guess they need one before every game. Pathetic!!!
