Ron Artest Shane Battier minus 2 years(He has def lost a step or two) Dikembe Mutombo AB and Kmart will get all the time they can handle If they are healthy, and unless you get something nasty on the frontline, I just don't see the physicality that you need to win in the playoffs. Who knows If Yao will ever be the same again. (McGrady was gone last year, remember?)
What are you smoking at? The games McGrady played last season, our defense looked terrible. And it was Alston/Tmac instead of AB/Tmac. AB/Artest/Battier was good enough to defende, but AB/Martin/Ariza will not. Artest/Battier are all NBA defensive team members. AB/Martin belongs to all NBA defenseless team.
Disagree, Lowry drives into a bunch of defenders with no where to go just as much as Brooks. When he isnt getting the calls he is detremental to the team. He also jacks up too many 3s, especially for his %.
Ha, no. Like I said, go back and watch the games from earlier in the season. He's made huge strides in his decisionmaking and seems to have a fantastic overall awareness of what he needs to work on. Is he still going to have bad games, of course, he's young and inexperienced. But he knows exactly what he's doing wrong and has been making great efforts to fix it. It's very difficult to do when you're being relied on to carry the offense the entire season--it's a huge burden for an undersized PG playing his age 24 season and his first full season as a starter to carry, and also have the time and energy to work on things. That's why the amount of improvement he's shown has impressed me so much.
This is the last time Imma mention OremLK by name, but dude really needs to stick to baseball! He has no business debating about the NBA and basketball in general!
Exactly right. We have lost a lot of our JVG mentality and bruising playoff intensity. AB and Kevin Martin is just a scary thought when it comes to winning in brutal, physical matchups, which is what the playoffs are all about.
Says the guy who didn't even know what a motion offense was. ASidd apparently thought in the last thread that it meant running up and down the court on the fast break. Hahaha.
LOL - the whole danged team is boneheaded. AB gets blinders sometimes and forgets his midrange. Lowry - barrels into people even when he is not getting calls Trevor - just can't dribble and forgets too often (don't ask about reaching on defense). Scola - doesn't guard his man at the 3pt line even if it is Okur I mean they all have faults....all of them......but still...gotta love the effort. He is making great points.....AB has gotten better...a lot better.... DD
Lowry doesn't make the same mistake twice in a row though, while AB will keep driving in with impudence no matter how many turnovers he makes.
I think the real problem he has is when he becomes frustrated. He seems to lose all of his basketball IQ. Like after Hill stole the ball from Brooks and scored, Brooks ran up tried to jacked up a three. Really need to have him keep his cool.
 Individually, they both can't play defense. Are you saying that playing together will fix that? Someone is reaching I think.
He still is a better passer than Brooks despite that. Both he and Aaron have talent, but they are backup PG material.
He has made improvements in his decision making. But he is still BELOW AVERAGE. After more than 100 games of starting at age 25 and still making below average decisions, I failed to see how you can place AB and tremendous basketball IQ in one sentence.
