Arctually, I believe that Adelman and Morey's hearts are cold right now. The rockets got out-rebounded so badly! They need a good backup center who is able to start at C when Yao doesn't play. Hill is not a starting center material. His best position is PF.

BTW, remember Deke's games when Yao was not able to play. He often got 15+ rebs. Deke was an good backup for Yao.

Brad Miller is out of shape... he needs to get in shape first.

Dampier is needed. Scola can't jump, Hill isn't consistent or strong and Pat is inexperienced. Hayes is too short. Brad Miller wants to stand by the free throw line.

WE cannot get Damp without getting rid of Ish, and I would much rather have Ish. We need a third PG as Lowry is frankly not that reliable.

The rockets could waive or trade away another player.

This is only our 2nd game without Yao. The guys are still learning what our line-up will be when we sit him out. Hayes was out and we sat out JJ. Give 'em time.

If Dampier becomes available, it is JT who we cut, not Ish. Lowry's early injury issues make Ish Smith a necessity.

Please explain to me how his weight affects his back.

and this analysis sucks....half of the people in here dont even realize this is a preseason game where we didnt play our starters at all or at the end. Our back up point also went down incase you werent watching. Winning isn't everything right now.

LOL we we howLowry and Scola play after being paid because what i see right now from those two are unacceptable but i'll take it as just preseason. Anyways i would look at cutting a different player other than Ish to sign Dampier at this point. This basketball not a statistical R&R test... get the players that are available and needed to get the job done the best way.

Mutombo is one of the best defensive centers to ever play the game. Even at the end of his career, he was a great backup option in short spurts.

Hill's a second year guy who is learning to play the center spot for the first time, and IMO he showed much improvement this game. If he continues to improve, he is a good 3rd-string big option.

No, I am afraid of stupid comments that don't realize that our first team was up by 15 points on their first team and that they played some regulars at the end while we played mostly guys that will be playing for Rio Grande.

Calm down, get off the ledge and enjoy the ride.....stop overeacting !!

I missed the 4th quarter, when I assume they backups coughed up the lead, but I was encouraged by the things I saw.

KMart, Bud, AB, and Lee look really nice, although I think Lee's shot seemed a little off. They all worked the offense to perfection. Bud still needs to figure out how to defend his man though. He showed why he's not our starter. Lee was working hard on every defensive possession. Good to see.

Hill and PatPat looked good in spurts. I was surprised at how well Hill defended, and he looked a lot more comfortable with his post moves. Pat had flashes, but he's still pretty rough.

Scola was pretty off tonight, and Miller was unspectacular. Miller had a few good passes, and Scola looked pretty good on the P&R, but thats about it. They're veterans though, so I'm not too worried about them.

Battier was Battier. That coast-to-coast thing he tried to do was horrible though. I'm pretty sure hes never doing that again.

Ish looked like AB lite. Real quick and can get to the rim. Seems like a stronger passer than AB, but he needs to work a LOT on his shot. If he starts knocking down shots, he could be quite a player.

Lowry needs to stop getting hurt.

All in all, the I'm excited for the season. We're gonna make some noise this year, if we can find someone who can rebound the dang ball. Our team looked really versatile and the chemistry is awesome. Lets go Rox.

If you are whining about how we need to cut someone to get Dampier, then name that someone. And if your answer is Scola or Lowry based on their preseason, kindly GTFO.
As for trades, we are not going to just dump one of our guys to make a roster spot for ERICK FRICKING DAMPIER. This is just patently absurd.

No. Our first team was up by 15 points because of 7/11 3 pointers at that time. They had been got rebounded at that time already. When the rockets' shooting got cold, they couldn't get a rebound to save their life.
