what a let down this was, but i'm not worried. u can't win em all. u'd like to. u would like to compete in them all, but we are seeing that that isn't always possible (for those that didn't know, the team that won 33 str8 games lost their 34th game by THIRTY POINTS. ***** happens.) we're fine. I can see mcgrady sitting out some games once we get our spot clinched or at least some of these games against poorer teams, or at least limited minutes.
We had a terrible game. It happens. I hope Tracy's shoulder gets well, quick, because we are sunk if he isn't reasonably healthy. Alston is Alston and that worries me. I've been hoping that the old Rafer, who drove many of us nuts, was on a hiatus until after the playoffs. No joy.
we lost on the road to the top team in the west. why all the panic? trade tmac? tank the rest of the season? seriously? we split with san antonio. they couldn't beat us at home either. should they be tanking the rest of the season and trade duncan? ridiculous.
Games like this flush out the bandwagoners. The Spurs were on fire. It happens. Even Boston gets blown out every now and then.
I doubt it would happen. I blame the Lakers for the crazy trade and other teams followed, now that the west is so freakin tight that players have to work their asses off every night even when they are injured. It's not fair that some teams in the east can relax a little bit while we are fighting to death.
That's 2 losses to the T'Wolves by Utah this season. Man, they suck on the road. Today's loss against the Spurs may be a blessing in disguise. It makes it more difficult to catch San Antonio, but we still can finish ahead of Phoenix. That would put us in 5th(provided we don't collapse in our last 9 games) and likely with home court over the Jazz.
Wow! Thanks for the update. I forgot to check other scores. That makes my day a little bit better after seeing the Rox and Horns lose. Utah does struggle mightily on the road even though they played without Okur and Kirilenko. I'd like to see the Raptors come up with a big game and stop the Hornets. The game is in Toronto.
More good news: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/jackson-gasol-going-2008267-don-lakers As many know, Fisher has a foot injury that could end up cutting his season short. At the least, it should make him less effective. Gasol is taking longer to recover than expected. Bynum is still far from ready to play. I can't see Bynum being a big factor unless the Lakers go deep in the playoffs. Even then, it's unlikely that a big man like him will get anywhere near his ideal conditioning. At best, he will have a good game here and there but won't be consistent.
The thing that upset me the most was having three days off and not executing better on defense.I thought the rest would have helped everybody be rejuvinated(sp) for this game. The other thing was how the players were saying a few days ago that this wasn't a big game.I don't know how it can't be a big game considering you may face the Spurs in the first round.
that would be nice man. i feel we can beat utah in this situation here. they are terrible on the road. when 3 on our court and then take 1 from there court. we win series 4-2
this loss sucks, but our defense, and ball movement on offense have been suspect for a while. We got exposed today. I hope this team can put the streak behind it and get to playing our style of basketball again, before the playoffs.
Well, I was out of town when we played the Spurs the last time so I didn't know Battier came off the bench that game too. But I don't think Finley was shooting as good as he is right now back then, so maybe the rockets should've looked at his shooting the last 5 games and maybe just put Battier on him anyways. I'm not saying the Rockets defense wasn't bad, but the Spurs were hitting shots that you would probably expected them to miss. I mean, when Tony Parker is settling for jumpers, thats usually a good thing, but not in the first half. Finley was hitting shots over Head in the first qtr with ease, because of the hieight advantage he has, and even Jacque Vaughn hit a fadaway shot at the buzzer to end the half. When Jacque Vaughn is doing that for ya, then you know its your team's day. The Rockets could've played better defense, but the way they were shooting, it still would've been difficult to stop them. I played organized ball through high school, and when a team is on fire, that momentum can take you a long way. Another reason why it might have worked better back then is because the Rockets were just starting to hit their stride, and they had various lineups anyways with Tmac just coming back from injury. They were lottery bound then and had nothing to lose. Today's game, you saw this lineup win 10 in a row, and of its last 16 b4 todays game, so why change the line up? Its not like taking Mutombo out of the Warriors game. Finley is a capable scorer and deadly shooter, so putting Battier in there for an extra 7-10 minutes wouldn't have hurt. This is just my honest opinion.
this was a thorough hind whippin lol it happens i dont understand why with a 49 - 25 record with 9 games to go people would want to tank the season, bandwagoners are genuises
