This game was reminiscent of the Phoenix game. There's nothing you can do when a team is shooting THAT well. 60+% in the first half pretty much sealed the deal since we were playing from way behind the rest of the way. My only gripe about this game is why exactly did Landry play fewer than 20 minutes? Sure, guys will have off games like T-Mac, Rafer and Battier had today but when you have a dangerous weapon like Landry, why the hell not use him?
Name one player with any heart that would be sitting on the bench smiling while his team is getting it's ass kicked on national television. McLady sux
Need to sweep the next four. The Spurs still have some tough games ahead but the only lost I can see for them will be next Friday in Utah.
I'd rather have a healthy T-Mac and we're in 6th or 7th seed, than an injured, loaded with painkillers in the playoffs. Besides, I think we will get 4th or 5th seed without much trouble.
Finacial reasons isn't one word. I am saying under the circumstances with Yao down, we could really use a bonzi. And Kirk is showing he can play a little bit. Better than Gerald Green who is one step away from AND1. Mike does Succ, I agree.
what do you want him to do? defend the entire spurs team? you can't let a team shoot 60% in the first half..it's inexcusable.
How many games do you think we could win of the last 9 without T-Mac and Yao? I'd say 1 or 2, even considering the games against lesser teams. Seattle would look like the Spurs minus both of our stars. We haven't locked in a playoff spot yet. What some people tend to forget is that even when McGrady is off, the attention he commands and his passing ability makes the team better. It is always a plus to have him on the court.
Spurs really took the Rockets seriously compare to their last couple of games their shooting was not at the 60% range if the Spurs would have shot their average this game would have been closer. Oh well.
wats bothering me is that we got blown out by Boston, NO, SA and Almost the Suns in the past two weeks...im panicking now
I was disappointed in Tmac not switching to Finley in the 1st Qtr when he started going banannas. Finaley as hooting free and easy, which gave the Spurs confidence. Rick should have at least inserted Shane early to slow him down. Luther D is pathetic. Couldn't stop a high schooler. I would have rather seen Bobby J. Didn't like the effort and that's all any of ask
Spurs would win this game even if they shoot 40%. This rockets team is still the old rockets team. No shoot in the playoff.
T-Mac after knocking down a few jumpers against an atrocious T-Wolves team despite a sore shoulder - "I just imposed my will on the game." T-Mac after throwing up endless bricks against a good Spurs team because of sore shoulder according to diehard T-Mac fans despite 3 days of rest - "I just imposed my will on the game ........................ NOT!"
I'd want him to get in his guy's faces. Light a fire under someone's ass. Show some knid of emotion other than that stupid ass grin that was on his face. He just showed me that he doesn't care. He should be embarassed that he actually got paid to do what he just did.
The last Suns game was probably the biggest blowout. Final score doesn't mean everything. Obviously, the Rockets are a notch below the Spurs, Suns and Jazz with Yao not playing. I don't think we played as badly as the score indicated today. There were positives to take from this game. Low TOs and getting to the line were a couple good points. The Rockets would accomplish a lot just making the playoffs this season. If they can do anything from there, it will just be a bonus.
I'm really worried about Tmac's shoulder, the more he plays the worse it gets. I wish we could rest him and let him heal for the playoffs. Meanwhile, our playoff seed hasn't set yet and we can catch a breath until then. This really sucks! Damn the freakin west!
After watching today's unwatchable game, I think the Rox should consider tanking the rest of the regular season. Why should the Rox even consider getting into the playoffs to come up WAY short and getting absolutely nothing for it. Having the 22 wind streak made the season for the fans, let's shut it down now and get the highest lottery pick we can get and gear up for next season. Oh yeah, we should also start shop McGrady as much as we can. This team is going NOWHERE with that chucker in the lineup.
Thats not him and never will be.. And for all of you who "wish he were KOBE", just remember Tmac doesn't score 53 against a garbage Grizzlies team and still lose. Thats not a sign of "making your teammates better".
