Notice that the spurs run pretty much one offensive play when the bench is in, they just keep screening and re-screening the high post on brooks, even if he can keep up on one screen, a rescreen just renders him useless and from there they pretty much get a quality shot everytime.

We are expecting a better use of the talent on the team.

We are better than our record. If RA could coach this team better, those close losses would have been wins. That's what makes this season so frustrating.

maybe Lowry and Brooks really should switch. If Brooks isnt productive with his guys, and the starters arent doing well either, then dam RA - switch it up!

I honestly dont care who does it, but I think Lowry would play just as well off the bench, and I think Brooks would play better "mentally" and possibly have better chemistry with the starters.

oh well... losses to D and SA. SAD.

Not going to say Battier would not stop Manu, but those were difficult shots. I won't blame CL though.

    Completely agree

As much as I love Scola, he deserves a lot better than this

Some of you are just over reacting...

We win one game: there is hope
We lose one game: oh.. let's tank.. we just sucks

COME ON GUYS... We lost to a good good good team.. They have won 18 in a row at home for some reason.

Martin had a terrible night... and Brooks sucked like he does.

Martin is having a bad patch.. which is not a big deal because he has been very consistent whole season.

I disagree that our bench is bad... I think it's very good.. AB/Lee/Bud/Patt/Hill is very skilled bench. Go compare it to some other benches please...

Problem with bench is they have no consistency at all. I bet when brooks start hitting shots, it won't look that bad... more importantly Patterson needs to get more shots and more consistently. One day Patt has zero attempts and another day 6... One day Bud shoots 12 shots.. next day 1.... No consistency whatsoever... plus blame brooks for not feeding the hot hand. These bench players are good when they get shot they need to get. Bud and Lee = open 3's... Patt = Mid range shots... and it's Brooks jobs to feed them.. sometimes he just gives them a ball and expects them to do magic. Bud/Lee/Patt are simply not going to give you a lot of points in isolation.

    Anyways... expected result.

Just gotta pull 1 of the next 2: I think Jazz are going to be victim.

It's not the age but the upside those five have. The only one that has potential to grow is Hayes, Lowry can grow but he is about at his ceiling.

Is their anyone on the roster that can improve the team that much with improvement? Patterson and Williams, maybe, but honestly not a HUGE improvement over those five already starting.

Edit - Saying that, it's time to play PPat bigger minutes and T-Will any minutes.

Agree, however, I don't think Lowry was that good, too many shots and a little ballhog for my taste....

The 2 most critical positions for Basketball are PG and C.... that doesn;t mean that your best player have to be those, but such position must be filled by at least good players for a contending team not having MJ....

And Rockets have poorly filled such positions IMO....A Defensive C and an at least good starting PG are needed urgently...

Martin scored 10 points in the 1st qt and sat out the whole 2nd qt.

Never was the same after that. Great job Rick

I can't agree. The Rockets' record is there to tell us how talented our team is right now. It is a wishful thinking that we should have a better record than this. Fans are fans, I also hope we are contending a play off spot, but we don't. It is kind of sad.

I think of it like this...coaches can get you to that BIG lead, the players gotta finish it.

Now, thats not to say coach Adelman hasn't screwed up in games this year....what coach hasn't? But the players have to finish these games...Rick's got them there, it's about them. Execution in these games can get them in position, but down the stretch, they got to want it.

That's why the bench need someone to feed those guys, like Ish, because Brooks is being selfish and is playing for his contract.

    Exactly.

The 2nd unit shouldn't ever be out there without some starters (unless they're kicking total butt). And Martin shouldn't sit more than five mintues at a time. When he's on, you have to milk that 20 ppg. average.

If we don't trade AB, we should just let his contract expire. So I hope we trade him. It's painful to watch him play like this in a Rockets uniform.

I surely wish Rick would start Ish, CLee, Bud, Patsquatch, and Chuck. Let those boys run! Then bring Kyle, Kevin, Battier, Scola, and Chuck in as a second unit. (Note: Chuck plays until foul trouble sits him.)

It's time for a changing of the guard. Past time, actually.

Agree... My suggest is use Ish, Lee, Budinger, PAT, Hill/Jeffery as 2nd Unit

What are you talking about? Starters played Spurs well overall. If you put current AB into starting lineup, it would be a blow-out in first half.
