I always expect injuries to happen to 7 fters that weigh over 280 lbs. They always seem to come down with an injured knee or foot that causes them to miss 20+ games. When those players lose weight, it seems to reduce the knee and foot injuries alot. Griffin only weighs around 250 lbs. It might be a freak injury. I don't really trust the Clippers medical staff, though. He might have poor recovery and reinjure himself again, next season.
I like JT alot... Did anyone else notice his tenacious defense. He's also a decent shooter. I would rather him develop than play Ariza, who IMO is really overrated... Also AB seemed to be passing the ball quite a bit... which I think is a very very good sign... his shot was off but he still had a positive impact.
When Ariza was being used as a shooting guard, which is what Taylor is, he was playing out of position. Apples and oranges.
rockets season officially ends tommrorrow night after san antonio gives them a beatdown to mathematically eliminate us from playoff, get ready to place an o by our name in the nba .com standings, tankers ahouls look forward to tommorrow
Yes! i agree! If we keep winning we can miss the playoffs and finish with a bad pick! Who wouldn't want that!
What is wrong with the Rockets! Winning! Are we talking about winning! Winning! Haven't they heard of the lottery, we are fighting for lotto balls. What happened last night is inexcusable! Just stop it! The team needs to get their collective heads around the objective which is to fall as low in the standings as possible before time runs out! Now get out there and lose like your supposed to!
Solid post. I know its sac relig to root for the oppossing team, but I was pissed the rockets won that game lastnight and even more pissed that Adelman pulled Hill for Scola. Why is Adelman trying to win these games? It should all be about lottery balls at the moment. Scola played 40+ minutes lastnight. Geeez.
It's really sad that I come in here to see the discussion of the game and get nothing but "why didn't we tank" - and - "Shame on you for wanting to tank" posts. Difference in the game... Blatche not being able to do jack at the end of the game... why... Chucky (who was definitely hobbling) stopping him from getting to the bucket! also... Chase curling off good screens and putting the ball through the hoop! Second half was much better than the first. (edit.. well maybe saying much better is a slight exaggeration, but it was slightly better!)
“He bailed us out tonight,” Rockets coach Rick Adelman said of Budinger. “Ran that play perfectly. I told him to bank it and he banked it.” - Adelman on Chase's big shot
Hayes shut down Blatche in the second half just like he did when they played in DC. Blatche knew he couldn't back down Hayes, so he settled for the jumpshot, which was falling in the first half but not in the second.
You obviously weren't in here when the rockets were one pick away from getting the All-Star Brandon Roy. JVG made sure of that. My mind is already thinking of June. Adelman needs to play the rookies 40+ minutes each and give Scola, Ariza and Brooks their early set of golf clubs.
Me thinks the man doth protest too much! http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/rockets_bench_brigade_lifts_t_2010_03_31.html
Haha! I like these "Fans" who say we should lose now. ***** the Draft, I - and I'm certain the players, too - still want to win games, no matter if they are "meaningless". Also, we have Taylor, Hill, and especially Budinger, three Rookies who might have a bright future.
