What an ugly win. I am still worried about Rafer shots (he can't continue throwing bricks for so many games). Anyone know what happened to Rafer shots (is he skipping shooting practice?)?
Rafer doesn't have anyone to worry about taking his spot. Rafer played well when he knew there was competition. Now that Francis, James, and Bobby are gone, he's back to his usual self.
I give Rafer Tommy points for being a giant douche brick layer. Move him for Hinrich, we need a freaking point guard with a brain!
Rafer needs to go for another point guard. Anyone at this point is fine. Damn, even Luke Ridnour would not be that bad.
A win is a win, T-mac played a great game, but that means he will wear his suits tomorrow. Yao suck for 3 and a half quarter, then woke up for 5 minutes
Tracy McGrady I told coach after the game, because he said he was thinking about giving me a blow, and I was like, ‘Good thing you didn’t because, had I come out, that probably would have been the end of me tonight.’ So it’s good that I just stayed in and played 41 minutes. I felt pretty good for the most part for three quarters, but the fourth quarter I was really struggling. Find anything funny what mac is saying. lol
No, he's still TSlack. He was easily beaten on D. Look at his +/-. Minus four. Minus four to the Thunder?? Are you kidding me?? The Brick Award for worst Rocket still goes to Airballston although Tofu gave him a run for the money. I have no idea why Airballston is a starting PG in the NBA. Kids on my local high school shoot better than he does.
yes it's not a pretty win, but who care? we need it badly.... Rockets still can't smell blood.. they have to be more fierce..
you probably missed the game the other night where rafer had like 3 steals in the final minutes to give us a win. wut an idiot
Based on their history, who would you trust to win games or have a offensive game plan, Yao or Adelman? I'm just saying that yao needs to be aggrssive offensively and defensively and be a factor in the game. Stay active by rebounding and defending, then establish yourself offensively when given the chances.
adelman sounds like he is finally about to do the sane thing to do and force people to sit who can't contribute until they can contribute In search of consistency With Ron Artest sitting out for the third time in the five games of the road trip, and Tracy McGrady planning to sit out tonight at home against New York, Rockets coach Rick Adelman was ready to advocate normalcy. Though he has gone with McGrady’s plan to play every other game in back-to-backs, Adelman said he was considering a switch to letting his player rest and get well and return to the floor when they can stay on it for more than one game in a row. “We have to figure out what we’re going to do,” Adelman said. “You get a guy for a game and you lose him again. We keep going back and forth. We have to figure out how we go on from here. We do have a little break in the schedule as far as off days, but somehow we have to start making some progress. “It’s really not doing us any good, especially right now. We not only need guys in the games, we need them to be practicing. We keep taking one step forward and two steps back. You can’t get much done. When we get home for this stretch, we have to talk about all the guys. Hopefully we’ll have Shane (Battier) back when we get home. That will help us. It gives us a guy that we can count on and that will defend.” Adelman said he was unsure if Battier would be ready to play tonight against the Knicks, but that he has been working out since receiving a cortisone shot before the Rockets’ five-game, nine-day road trip. Makes perfect sense With Hall of Fame coach Pete Carril returning to the Kings as a consultant, no one was less surprised than Rockets coach Rick Adelman. Carril, 78, the former Princeton coach, spent 10 seasons as an assistant coach under Adelman after retiring as the winningest coach in Ivy League history, helping Adelman install an NBA version of his Princeton offense. With the Kings struggling under interim coach Kenny Natt, Carril agreed to return as a consultant. “It doesn’t surprise me,” Adelman said. “He always wants to be involved. They have a good relationship there and a lot of young players. “There are still players there he worked with before. It can do nothing but help them.” TONIGHT: KNICKS at ROCKETS When/where: 7:30 p.m.; Toyota Center. TV/radio: KTXH; 610 AM, 850 AM (Spanish). Records: Rockets 23-15, Knicks 13-21. Key matchup: Nate Robinson vs. Aaron Brooks. Diminutive blurs and Seattle natives, Robinson and Brooks don’t get many matchups where they can look the opposition in the eye, or with a player who can match speeds,, making this one worth watching. Rockets update: The Rockets have a seven-game winning streak against the Knicks and have won eight of their past nine home games. … The game ends a stretch of six games in nine nights. … As the second half of a back-to-back, Tracy McGrady is scheduled to miss the game; Ron Artest is questionable. Knicks update: Since ending November at .500, the Knicks have gone 5-13, including losses in Oklahoma City and Dallas to begin their road trip since beating the Celtics. … They have gotten the high-scoring part of Mike D’Antoni’s offense, improving to fourth in scoring, but don’t shoot well, ranking 29th in field-goal percentage. They also allow more points than any team but the Warriors and allow the highest shooting percentage. … Al Harrington has averaged 22.2 points per game in 21 games since being traded from Golden State to New York.
You guys are going to keep it up with the name calling and insulting Tracy until he will want nothing but out of Houston. He is hurt and when the knee stiffens up he just cannot play. Some of you will keep squealing to get rid of him and finally he will be unable to stay in Houston. Then he will go someplace and get healthy agian and kick ass. The you guys will be squealing even louder. He is hurt and some days he just cannot move welll. Encouragement works a whole lot better than ridicule.
not impressed with tmac last night, sorry.....i still believe we play better without him as our ball movement is better and others play with more confidence....rafer and tmac: worst starting shooting back court in the NBA
I 100% agree with this.... Have you noticed how much more active Yao is when Tmac is not playing lately? Strange....to see. DD
I know. What's a trip is I've watched Shaq play a lot this season, and he's always aggressive. He doesn't let a small fry fronting him take him out the game. Wen he gets it in the post, he's decisive one way or another. That's all I'm saying about Yao, be aggressive. Don't let soft, non effective doubles take you out the game.
