I try really hard to see an upside to having him. I mean I really do try but the more I watch him, the more I cringe. I mean I had high hopes and I thought the guy had decent basketball IQ but he's becoming more and more like JT. Just plain clueless. If it wasn't for his vertical athleticism and his shooting, I would say he's completely useless.
Battier 13-10-7-1-1 him directing traffic in crunch time with Martin curling or Scola posting up. awesome.
Budinger is indeed completely useless. Tonight I really took time to focus on him defensively, his man drove by him 80% of the time with little effort.
He did suck tonight and has been sucking. Typically he can get away with his iso playing style, but with injuries hampering his speed, it is like watching a jump shooting Derek Fisher. Him and CBud were atrocious tonight.
definitely some head scratchers today from the refs. maybe it was the camera angle but i thought we did get lucky with Baron Davis' last foul on Martin...
Im not the biggest Brooks fan, but to say he sucks and is not starting pg material is a little bit of a stretch, the guy basically carried us during the playoffs a couple years ago and was a key component to a 42-40 team drained of talent. He would start on a LOT of other teams, i just think Lowry fits in better with the pieces we have on this team.
Joey Crawford is due to make his villainous appearance sometime. Against that monster, there has never been an answer...
Is Jordan Hill in the doghouse? Maybe he missed a meeting/shootaround this afternoon...? He only played 5 minutes (Patterson logged 9). He's been playing well as of late, but maybe he was limited due to matchup problems.
I hope TWill has great practice so Bud sits at the end of the bench ,and takes Brooks with him if he don' shape up.
That was an ugly win, against a better team we would have lost. Our offense was horrible the last 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter and the first 5 minutes of the fourth. We also made a lot of mental errors which is not expected of a veteran team. Adelman needs to work on the teams mental errors, just like how Jackson and Popovich are very strict on mental errors. The impact players off the bench such as Brooks and Martin seem to lack the fire they had last year.
Adelman was just upset, but I agree he shouldn't have yelled at him. Scola was playing basketball and blocked the shot. He shouldn't be punished for that.
