I agree, I get the whole playing for pride and finish strong things but come on, we should be developing this guy while we have a chance. The Brit has had a VERY quick hook with Jordan lately, I wonder whats the deal?
Heh, but I think 14 is not much different than 12.....I wonder what Morey will do with a mid first round pick...... He is great at going late, can he elevate his game too? We shall see. DD
I admit I'm partial to pass first, shoot second PG's. I do however greatly admire what Brooks has achieved as a scorer,on a team with limited offensive ability. What makes things more remarkable is his short height and slight frame. He gets a lot of attention. I didn't think he would be able to handle playing against quicker and better players than him. He has proven a lot of people wrong and is improving gradually as a passer as well. I wouldn't hesitate in calling him the MVP of the Rockets this year.
People on this board can stay mixed on the subject, but you cant deny the other team showing respect to Brooks ability by sending double teams at him at various times this season.
I'm starting to like Jared Jefferies. Woulda liked to see more JHill but our defense with Ariza, Jefferies and Lowry aint half bad. Those guys play pretty good position defense and get their hands on the ball a lot on the defensive end. I see now why Morey had no problem taking Jefferies on. I think he'll take Chuck Hayes' roll next season (assuming Yao comes back & we need a situational defensive big on the floor)
Anybody else notice that k. Lowry was pretty upset at the end of the game? Does anyone have any scoop?
What is it with JHill's playing time? There has to be something wrong, the NYK coach (talking about him after the trade) and now RA (with nothing on the line) and yet he sets. Why? Is something is a miss? When he plays he looks like he does well. What is going on with him and the coaching staff(s)?
I wouldn't read too much into it. Its just Adelman being Adelman. The dude isn't exactly known for good substitution patterns...
Close game and you need stops. Do you trust Jeffries or Hill to be in there? That's just my assumption. If Hill wants more playing time, he will have to earn it, just like everyone else. Remember when Landry was never a closer? I think the same principles apply. As much as everyone wants us to tank, coach still wants to win. I say good move sitting Hill and letting Jeffries close.
