I didnt watch the game, but I was looking at the box score and I got excited when I thought I saw David Andersen with 15 points, then I looked again and I was reading Chase's stats
Andersen was horrible......kind of like Chase was last game....they are rookies it will take a while. DD
I think Lowry, Chase, and Landry could be starters on most teams. Would anyone actually be opposed to a starting lineup of: PG: Brooks SG: Chase SF: Ariza PF: Scola C: Hayes ? Chase is our best swingman right now, let the rook run free like Tyreke, Jennings, and Flynn are allowed to do on their teams right now. Ariza goes back to playing his Lakers role, waiting for kick outs from Brooks, Chase, Scola, and even Hayes.
I dont know about chase...he's pretty much having a good game, then bad, then good, and so on. I think he'd be worse if he didnt have good teammates around him . After this year he should be more consistent.
Well, he is a rookie after all. Brooks became more consistent after he became the starter. If T-mac is not in our future plans, we should definitely catalyze Budinger's progression.
I would be tempted to start him ahead of Shane just so Ariza can get back to being a 3 and even out the starting lineup. Saying that, I like how the team is playing and learning with a solid rotation so I'd keep as is and wait till McGrady returns or gets trading and fit in those pieces we get for him.
Scola's dive at the end was huge to this win, but throughout three quarters, seems like he was "intangible" all the way, racking up points quietly, oh, that spin move to the basket was awesome by the way. And Battier was kept in for some reasons, at that time we needed to get some stops on the defensive end, so that's why C-bud had to sit, you know, at crucial moment defense wins it all right?
Andersen will always be a backup, so we can use a backup with range, I think he has a spot as 8th or 9th man when Yao is back. DD
Unless Chase continues to show consistency in his game, then no. He's great coming off the bench, and we need to continue to see more consistency in his game.
Missed the game but looks like Brooks and C-Bud were balling and Landry continues to be high scorer. It is a shame these players weren't around when TMac and Yao were in their prime. If they come back and stay healthy which I seriously doubt, this team could be crazy good. They are exceeding my expectations right now.
I would hate to be a Sixers fan. They are pa-the-tic. Yes, their roster is poorly constructed, but Eddie Jordan clearly doesn't have control of that team.
great game by the bench and brooks. on a side note, I'm uber jealous of steve nash. I wish Brooks could pass like he could.
Only if we had a time machine. I think this superb group of role players with a healthy Yao and Mac would have given us a couple of banners. Luck is a indeed a b_tch.
I'll take the win, especially on the road. Starters didn't play very good early on, but the bench play of Landry, Budinger & Lowry kept us in the game. When we go through those scoring lulls, I can't help but think this is an area where T-Mac can help this team. Some of our players lack consistency from being great players, but the good thing is we always have someone stepping up. Give credit to Chase for bouncing back from an 0-fer night. Brooks & Ariza finally get their game going after a terrible first half. Landry has took his game to a new level, we need to keep feeding him the ball, especially down the stretch.
If we get that time machine, can we take it back a few years further and snag Hakeem & Clyde? Agree with you though. It's a shame that Daryl Morey was brought in here to get the necessary role players around Yao and T-Mac, and he did that really, really well. The foundation just, unfortunately, had a big crack in it.
