Maybe Yao will gain a better perpective on what the team needs from him with him sitting out this one.

AB needs to learn to let the game come to him. Lowry is a way better passer/creator than Brooks.

My god, Rick Adelman is sooooooo much better than JVG was at milking the right lineups. He will whoever is playing the best out there, JVG would leave Chuck Hayes and Rafer out there and ruin us.

    Plusses Tonight

    * Artest stopped jacking ill-advised long jumpers and started playing to his strengths, driving and posting up.

    * Wafer made adjustments after his last game by focusing more on passing and not taking wild shots.

    * Deke owned the lane

Wow what a gutsy win by the Rockets with Yao out. Incredible defensive effort by everyone. Ron goes from goat to hero, Mutombo shut down the paint, Scolandry with the hustle, Lowry running the offense, and Wafer attacking the basket. I am so proud of the team. :)

If there is one thing the Clutchfans have to agree with, is that this game showed more heart and hustle than any game this entire season. Artest didn't quit. Wafer made plays and really matured. 5 assists!! And Landry, wow I have to say it, you were straight ballin' out there. And of course let's not forget Mutombo. This guy never ages. Houston is grateful for having you.

With Yao out, this game was not a sure win. But our team didn't quit. The 3rd and 4th quarters showed that. The hustle of this team reminded me our attitude during the last 10 games of our streak last year. With Yao gone, everbody stepped up and that is what we saw tonight.

    I love this team.

i think it's important to note how the rockets became aggressive once they saw the refs were calling the contact. Usually when houston finds itself on the other side of some tough calls or flops, they'll complain and that's it, this time they fought fire with fire and it paid off.

Wafer had, arguably, his best overall game.

Usually, he would've taken that 3 pt shot instead of passing it to Landry. Great game, I love this guy!

adelman finally put lowry in at the end! both brooks and lowry were playing good, but lowry's defense prevailed!

    Awesome win!

    Great team win tonight.

Glad to see Wafer developing a more complete game. He was really looking to pass tonight and he made a bunch of really nice passes for easy baskets.

    Landry with the great hustle.

Lowry controlling the pace of the game and grabbing a couple of key offensive rebounds.

Artest was off with his shot but most were ok shots. He just needs to stop the dribbing when he's not going to the basket.

Battier contributing some points with a couple great play at the basket. I'm a bit concerned about his 3P shooting though. That hasn't looked good in weeks.

Scola with consistent contribution in points and rebounding.

Mutumbo providing great defensive presence while Yao is out.

    Great overall effort and win!

I did't see the game. But artest was 0-9 from 3s line. He is not taking ill-advised shots? Terrible shooting

and Brooks is a better scorer than Lowry. That's the reason why we have them, they're completely different, we get two different approaches with each, so we can adjust from game to game or within games. That's the beauty of it. I wish fans would stop comparing them and pointing out who one does this better one game,t hen the next game the other does this better...well yeah that's how its going to go, when we need lowry's skills he'll be in there and perform better than Brooks, when we need Brooks' skills then HE will be in there and perform better than Lowry...

damn proud of the Rockets tonight, they played that game hard all the way till the end. I loved seeing Lowry and Landry closing out the game in the 4th, Lowry put the clamps on CP3. Mutombo played great, and biggest win of the yr. This team has something special brewing, kinda got that us against the world mentality. Love it. Lets take care of Detroit and Minn before huge battle with spurs.

    Props to:

Landry's intense rebounding and hustle. Won us so many extra possessions and second chance opportunities

Wafer passing the ball. Career high 5 asts. We are witnessing the evolution of Wafer into a complete player under Rick Adelman and the Houston organization. He's seriously a borderline all-star type of player if he plays like he did tonight on a consistent basis.

Deke. DNP-CD most of the times, but always a good sport and cheerleader and when asked to deliver, does. He should play more backup C minutes.

Most importantly Lowry - controlled the tempo of game in our favor in the 4th quarter and played excellent D on CP3
